I misdiagnosed myself when I was 13 due to lack of education on the subject

2017-03-22 01:33:43 UTC

Doctors said i was depressed i needed meds i told them to stick it and didnt do it

2017-03-22 01:33:45 UTC

but now I have a proper diagnosis

2017-03-22 01:33:48 UTC

again, i dont feel like its always self diagnosing idiots tho

2017-03-22 01:34:04 UTC

could just be people saying they're "depressed" as a way to aay theyre sad

2017-03-22 01:34:12 UTC

The thing is, most people will go through depression, but it's often their lifestyle choices that breeds that depression, or a bad experience which they need to get through. But most of the time you can get through it by getting help. But it's not something you brag about, liek you don't brag about being sick

2017-03-22 01:34:17 UTC

Yeah, but

2017-03-22 01:34:22 UTC

and education on the thing I don't quite have a diagnosis for yet

2017-03-22 01:34:28 UTC

I heard those meds can really fuck with you

2017-03-22 01:34:31 UTC

Saying "I'm depressed" and "I have depression" are two different things

2017-03-22 01:34:37 UTC

Oh

2017-03-22 01:34:48 UTC

nvm then im brain dead

2017-03-22 01:34:54 UTC

that's true but I believe the term "depressed" is used too loosely

2017-03-22 01:34:57 UTC

I don't blame you actually

2017-03-22 01:34:58 UTC

I meant that i had depression not depressed

2017-03-22 01:35:01 UTC

A lot of teenagers would be getting depression because the mentality around not sleeping and staying up late " sleep i for the weak", and lack of sleep does make depression worse.

2017-03-22 01:35:02 UTC

It is

2017-03-22 01:35:12 UTC

Depression is a common mental disorder that causes people to experience depressed mood, loss of interest or pleasure, feelings of guilt or low self-worth, disturbed sleep or appetite, low energy, and poor concentration. **Depression is different from feeling down or sad.**

2017-03-22 01:35:24 UTC

anyway, i myself feel like I have the "symptoms" of stuff like anxiety, but ive never been diagnosed, not that ive ever been checked

2017-03-22 01:35:26 UTC

Well i didnt really believe i did

2017-03-22 01:35:32 UTC

i have a sort of analogy for it

2017-03-22 01:36:12 UTC

see as, many of my friends are high functioning autistic, and we act similar, but i have no autism, so i call myself "low functioning normal"

2017-03-22 01:36:19 UTC

gives me good laughs

2017-03-22 01:36:26 UTC

Ha

2017-03-22 01:36:28 UTC

Ive heard countless stories about meds to help with depression fuck you up even more

2017-03-22 01:36:28 UTC

I mean

2017-03-22 01:36:32 UTC

If you say it as a joke

2017-03-22 01:36:35 UTC

That's fine

2017-03-22 01:36:44 UTC

I swear autistic has seemed to lost all meaning now

2017-03-22 01:36:47 UTC

I make fun of my own illnesses all the time

2017-03-22 01:37:04 UTC

same with trigger/triggered/triggers

2017-03-22 01:37:08 UTC

I mean its semi serious as well, again I find myself acting similar to people I know have disorders, but I dont have those disorders

2017-03-22 01:37:19 UTC

As someone who's actually autistic, I don't care when people refer to say roblox as "autistic"

2017-03-22 01:37:20 UTC

so its like

2017-03-22 01:37:32 UTC

I hate it when people misuse triggered though

2017-03-22 01:37:33 UTC

what even

2017-03-22 01:37:35 UTC

In fact, I find it humorous

2017-03-22 01:37:51 UTC

i enjoy a good autism joke once in a while

2017-03-22 01:37:56 UTC

Same

2017-03-22 01:37:56 UTC

like, as a person with PTSD, I feel like I can't say that word without being laughed at anymore.

2017-03-22 01:38:00 UTC

me too
