Do governments function better when they have more power at the local or national level?

Is a small country more preferable to a larger country?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the above four scenarios?

Explain.

@everyone

Today's topic covers the question of "Is the consumer always informed or willing to the point that they will take action against companies who engage in unethical practices?"

We live in an age where your daily habits and personal info are being sold off as just another product to third party advertisers. Most people would not be okay with a stranger on the street recording their daily routine and selling that recording to another person, but turn a blind eye when the software they use does essentially the same thing. What makes their software different?

Given how prevalent this practice is, and how most software we use tracks, logs, and sells your info in some way (much of it necessary to use for some professions), can we ever go back? Can this practice be eliminated? If so, how?

Or do you agree with it? If so, why?

also, some data to go with it
```Six-in-ten Americans (61%) have said they would like to do more to protect their privacy. Additionally, two-thirds have said current laws are not good enough in protecting people’s privacy, and 64% support more regulation of advertisers.```
Many Americans are taking some form of mind altering medication.
Is mental illness more widespread, or is it simply being identified and diagnosed more than it has been in the past?
If no to both of these, do you believe that the medical industry is taking advantage of these people? If so, why?
Adding on to the question, is medicine the best way to solve mental illness, or does therapy work better (or a combination of both)? Should people just tough it out?
The cost of college tuition has risen sharply over the last several years in the United States. A large number of students are not expected to pay off their loans.
What kind of impact does this have on the economy?
What is the cause of this? How can it be fixed? Would you support free tuition?
What is the best education model? A public school system founded by the state, the current public & private school system with reform, a state incentivized home school system or a hybrid?
Also, should religion be a part of school curriculum or no? @everyone
