Frankly when all this started I was inclined to believe it was mostly Jim and Ann was just his tool the whole time. He had to know that by giving the vague description of her that you would try to defend your past actions, and all he needed was little miss creative writer to make something up to get the tide going against you. After the entirety of this I'm inclined to believe this again at least until solid proof otherwise shows her reaching out to him to do all of this..
you don't know her as well as I do. she's a manipulative and deeply disturbed individual who almost certainly initiated the whole thing. I know this because she tried to pull the same scam on me: weaponizing me to go after her previous ex. the reason the wheels are coming off her wagon so rapidly this time is because she's clearly suffering from dementia or wet brain and she can no longer formulate convincing plots (also, she's getting too old and ugly to effectively corral white knights like she used to)
