does the website give you the money even if the goal isnt met?

2017-07-16 21:00:45 UTC

Yes

2017-07-16 21:01:49 UTC

It is an option you can choose, and I did choose that option. In an ideal situation, if I could get that camera body and both lenses, I'd be able to do some amazing work. But, if I only raise enough for the body and one lens, I'll still be able to capture 90% of what I want to do.

Donated. Hail victory.

2017-07-16 21:02:50 UTC

In the spirit of full transparency, if I don't raise enough, any raised funds will be going to help pay for bus rental, gas, rental house, and other CVille 2.0 costs for the Detroit Right Wings goys who are out of work.

2017-07-16 21:02:56 UTC

Thank you brother! @Evan McLaren - PA

2017-07-16 21:04:00 UTC

Then it sounds like a good investment either way

2017-07-16 21:06:33 UTC

Exactly. The Detroit Right Wings will be bringing a hell of a lot of guys, and 15-20 of them will be carrying large tower shields and forming the bulk of our protective shield line.

2017-07-16 21:06:56 UTC

So assuming worst case scenario, not enough funds are raised for the gear, you'd still be helping to get those guys down to VA in August.

2017-07-16 21:15:50 UTC

2017-07-17 01:57:42 UTC

@everyone Can someone please explain how this Antifa group was able to make attendees for their event private? I can't see anything about this anywhere

https://www.facebook.com/REDACTED

2017-07-17 01:58:24 UTC

did you join?

2017-07-17 01:58:29 UTC

maybe you can only see if you join

2017-07-17 02:00:11 UTC

@wyatt Maybe that's it. I wish I knew a way to keep our event public but our attendees private

2017-07-17 02:00:49 UTC

There's probably a setting.

2017-07-17 02:01:07 UTC

I've Googled it over and over

2017-07-17 02:03:55 UTC

@Evan McLaren - PA I've seen that thread before but it doesn't seem to answer the question. It provides some outdated info at best.

2017-07-17 02:04:02 UTC

Sheeeeit.

2017-07-17 02:16:57 UTC

Within the last couple months people have been commenting that the information on how to do this is not updated. https://www.facebook.com/business/help/community/question/?id=10209862840960829

2017-07-17 02:17:35 UTC

Looks like the most recent response by Facebook staff directs people to report the issue as a problem. https://www.facebook.com/help/186570224871049/?ref=u2u

2017-07-17 02:18:29 UTC

So, how likely do you think it is that antifa used that report channel to ask to have their guest list made private, and that Facebook was sympathetic to them because "they're the good guys"?

2017-07-17 02:39:03 UTC

Good goys vs (((good guys)))

2017-07-17 02:53:17 UTC

I am not sure if it works anymore. Historically at least you either create it as a public or private event.

2017-07-17 02:54:09 UTC

Like groups, after a certain amount of members or participants you can no longer change status to public but still could make it private or secret in case of it being a group
