@IvoryDealership I can say pretty confidently that he hated them for what they were. It is really hard to tie him down on much else. I'd go into more detail but juggling my sources for this and the work I'm doing right now will be rough.

@IvoryDealership Antisemitism was pretty common around the world. Before Hitler, Germany would have been a pretty good example of a well integrated Jewish population compared to other similar countries.

If I remember my western history lectures reasonably well, Jewish people in Germany lived in pretty close knit groups, and often were involved in industries like jewelry where their assets didn't depreciate in value like so much of Germany's productivity. When many Germans had really a really tough time with the post WWI economic struggles, these small populations were somewhat insulated, which fed into the narrative that they were benefiting from Germany's downfall. They were an easy target to blame and had assets that could be seized.
