You put the contingency plan in place in advance. We need to be proactive not reactive. Also if we are not willing to take some risks for what we believe I don't know what to say. This isn't a movement for the risk adverse.

2017-07-25 02:00:58 UTC

We were talking about weather is was a good idea to have passes at all. Not if the cops say they can control access and fail to do it.

2017-07-25 02:01:32 UTC

If they say they are going to do something, and they don't we are in a berkely situation.

2017-07-25 02:01:51 UTC

You operate on the assumption the police will not do their job, not the other way around

2017-07-25 02:02:29 UTC

Yes I agree.

2017-07-25 02:02:43 UTC

But that wasnt what we were talking about lol

2017-07-25 02:04:23 UTC

The thing about the passes is that at best, we get passes in the hands of a fraction of the attendees, and have a bottleneck in the middle of an already chaotic situation while we try to check passes for hundreds of people. It seems like a lot of extra complication for not much improvement on the situation.

@Gavius Corvus the question on the table isn't about passes for the general attendance, but about passes for the setup crew between 10-12

2017-07-25 02:05:25 UTC

Well, how big does the setup crew have to be?

2017-07-25 02:05:49 UTC

Seems like something that could be done on the basis of Kessler or other VIP saying "hey, these 10 guys are here to help set up."

2017-07-25 02:05:56 UTC

The setup crew is irrelevant if you can't gain access to the damn park.

2017-07-25 02:06:01 UTC

By 10-12 the counter protesters will likely already be out in force.

2017-07-25 02:06:14 UTC

Ahh yes we must have the "VIP"s guide us

2017-07-25 02:06:19 UTC

They're all knowing

2017-07-25 02:06:19 UTC

And I feel that's generous. They'll probably be out a lot earlier.

2017-07-25 02:06:30 UTC

They can easily take the park

2017-07-25 02:06:41 UTC

This isnt' a conversation for the general chat

2017-07-25 02:06:43 UTC

Jesus fucking christ

2017-07-25 02:06:59 UTC

This is something you decide amongst the coordinators and leadership of the various groups and the nput out guidance

2017-07-25 02:07:09 UTC

YOu don't ask 500 people what they think the best way to run your event is

2017-07-25 02:07:21 UTC

^^ good point

2017-07-25 02:07:30 UTC

No, its fine. Just seeking different points of view

2017-07-25 02:07:39 UTC

He's trolling us.

2017-07-25 02:08:02 UTC

We arent getting anywhere at this point. So anyways, who has seen Dunkirk.

2017-07-25 02:08:21 UTC

@Hand Banana well where are these coordinators?

2017-07-25 02:08:30 UTC

>implying

2017-07-25 02:08:38 UTC

They disappear when there's a difficult question it seems

2017-07-25 02:09:02 UTC

It's tedious, especially when the event is just a mere few weeks away

2017-07-25 02:09:06 UTC

WHo knows dude

2017-07-25 02:09:16 UTC

and welcome to my world.

2017-07-25 02:09:24 UTC

A general doesn't ask all his riflemen the best way to win a war

2017-07-25 02:09:25 UTC

He tells them how.

2017-07-25 02:09:34 UTC

^^*

2017-07-25 02:09:41 UTC

Damn right

2017-07-25 02:09:42 UTC

^^^^^^

2017-07-25 02:09:49 UTC

100% agreed

2017-07-25 02:11:43 UTC

@Kurt agreed. Jason can't do everything either. Where is everyone?

2017-07-25 02:12:35 UTC

Everything is fine. We're doing something that's never been done before. Stop counter-signaling

2017-07-25 02:13:23 UTC

We're in the middle of a negotiation with police and the situation is developing. Personally, I like getting input from you guys
