It is only the abrahamic religions that believe that they are the only ones who have the truth, and that you need to have a specific metaphysical doctrine to be able to have legit spiritual experience

above all they were about politics
The gods played a part in pagan warfare as they played a part in literally every other aspect of life at that time, but no, they didn't wage war in the name of destroying other nation's religions and very much thought their gods were as alive as their own

Well for starters, how about the northern crusades against the balts, the swedes, the frankish wars of religion against the saxons, the iconoclasm of hellenic and roman pagan culture and works after christization and the exterminaton of the cathars in france, the bogomils in the balkans or the attempted mutual extermination between protestants and catholics in the HRE during the 30 years war?
