You can get them where they come in two pieces that connect together for easier transport too

2017-07-24 14:17:33 UTC

@Tyrone what? with the flag coming down to my hand?

2017-07-24 14:18:05 UTC

Anything longer is too long to effectively bludgeon someone with

2017-07-24 14:18:09 UTC

flags are 3 feet tall....

2017-07-24 14:19:08 UTC

I think at cville 1.0, 8 ft poles were used

2017-07-24 14:19:42 UTC

You can screw an extension on securely. Or better yet screw 2 of them together that way when some else doesn't have an axe handle you can hook them up.

2017-07-24 14:20:49 UTC

You don't want something like a broom or dowel rod you only are going to get 3-6 whacks to something solid before it breaks

2017-07-24 14:21:47 UTC

I'm just being practical. Most of these are for purposes other than looking good in pictures.

2017-07-24 14:21:48 UTC

Just doublechecked the info from cville 1.0 - 8 foot poles w/ 3x5 flags was recommended

2017-07-24 14:22:06 UTC
2017-07-24 14:22:11 UTC

Np

2017-07-24 14:22:24 UTC

Cville 1.0 wasn't expecting opposition.

2017-07-24 14:22:26 UTC

i know they have wooden ones that screw into two pieces

2017-07-24 14:22:58 UTC

And the flag bearers behind the speakers are different than most in the crowd.

2017-07-24 14:23:09 UTC

Impaling people is always the best option tbh

2017-07-24 14:23:57 UTC

There are some really nice hardwood poles that are two piece, but also cheaper ones that won't be very useful to double as spears lol

2017-07-24 14:24:11 UTC

Agreed!!! @Kurt

thnking about this

2017-07-24 14:25:13 UTC

Lack of impaling people entering Europe who weren't wanted is what got them into the current mess they are in.

2017-07-24 14:26:05 UTC

There you go 6 bucks

2017-07-24 14:26:37 UTC

you can even put your own spike on the top of it

2017-07-24 14:28:04 UTC

I'm telling you. You want something designed for longitudinal stress. There whacks and that thing is breaking

2017-07-24 14:28:41 UTC

That was the standard size recommend for everyone there, not just the flag bearers behind the speakers.

2017-07-24 14:29:42 UTC

Put a 6-8 inch double threaded screw into 2 3 ft axe handles. It shit gets real unscrew the bottom and go to town. The flag can get rolled up in the top where it was attached.

2017-07-24 14:29:42 UTC

But yeah, if you want to use it as a club, you'll want something shorter lol

2017-07-24 14:30:33 UTC

In a pinch you hand someone your flag and maybe they get blood on it.

2017-07-24 14:33:26 UTC

There you go @Tyrone

2017-07-24 14:34:24 UTC

That might be acceptable.

2017-07-24 14:34:54 UTC

I would still want it to unscrew into two pieces unless I was horse mounted

2017-07-24 14:35:34 UTC

@Eli Mosley What's the official policy on horses?
Are they allowed in the park?

2017-07-24 14:35:43 UTC

We need to make the calvary charge great again

2017-07-24 14:36:03 UTC

>implying eli will ever respond to anyone ever

2017-07-24 14:36:16 UTC

Is it a suggestion I not ride my horse or will I actually be asked to leave if I ride my horse in?

2017-07-24 14:36:37 UTC

lol

2017-07-24 14:36:59 UTC

When are we going to get an official position from a <@&321389309162815488> about whether horses are allowed or not?

2017-07-24 14:37:08 UTC

I have people asking

2017-07-24 14:37:10 UTC

commanding from horseback is actually a good thing

2017-07-24 14:37:39 UTC

What are the pertinent Virginia laws about riding horseback at public gathers?
