2019-08-05 04:42:16 UTC

to gays like u? nothing

2019-08-05 04:42:22 UTC

2019-08-05 04:43:08 UTC

Is there a meme for the 4 horseman of the apocolypse?

2019-08-05 04:45:38 UTC

i'm not there? nice

2019-08-05 04:48:56 UTC

Hrm, that's an interesting tie in from an early convo. As someone said earlier it's mostly the bravest that die first.

2019-08-05 04:49:32 UTC

not well done (meme)

2019-08-05 04:50:22 UTC

How does it go? "Gung-ho and crazy-brave"

2019-08-05 04:50:49 UTC

المهور هي الطريق

2019-08-05 04:51:13 UTC

... ^^ or those wtih nothing left to lose

2019-08-05 04:51:29 UTC

Heh, reminds me that one time where I had a Cpl tell me to can that motivation.

2019-08-05 04:51:40 UTC

"It's easy to find something worth dying for. Do you have anything worth LIVING for?"

2019-08-05 04:52:21 UTC

And I'm all, "Oorah! CPL!" He just - joking- shook his head. Ahh, good times

2019-08-05 04:52:46 UTC

^^ lol; <:salute:590153077991014402>

2019-08-05 04:52:52 UTC

Yes sir

2019-08-05 04:53:59 UTC

Well, we'd served together for awhile at that point - he'd gotten promoted ahead of me.

2019-08-05 04:54:45 UTC

Also, Oorah ends up being the internal moto slang way of saying, "Aye, aye."

2019-08-05 04:55:00 UTC

Which is to say, "Recieved and understood."

2019-08-05 04:55:46 UTC

Typically, the syntax is. "<Repeat Order> , aye"

2019-08-05 04:56:15 UTC

To insure the order was understood correctly

2019-08-05 04:56:27 UTC

Nah, ain't got time for that.. just the acknowledgment and go unless there's any questions.

2019-08-05 04:56:39 UTC

in the Navy i mean

2019-08-05 04:56:49 UTC

Ah, rgr.

2019-08-05 04:57:50 UTC

“The brave die first”
Interesting. You know, if bravery had a genetic element... two back to back world wars might have very well eliminated it from the west.

2019-08-05 04:58:05 UTC

I am yet to sleep

2019-08-05 04:58:15 UTC

i was meant to be up at 8

2019-08-05 04:58:35 UTC

I think the dum usually die first unfortunately

2019-08-05 04:58:38 UTC

Cannon-fodder

2019-08-05 04:58:41 UTC

the lord has forsaken me

2019-08-05 04:59:10 UTC

The Corps was more immediate action oriented.. which is why the convo the other day that got into Orders got my head spinning. Orders are things like, "Go take that hill." Or "set up the equipment for x Marines." Which is then dispersed and broken down to various tasks.

2019-08-05 04:59:41 UTC

Yeah, but bravery doesn't prohibit idiocy.

2019-08-05 04:59:59 UTC

i would imagine so. like i said earlier, i have seen enough to know there just really isn't a comparison

2019-08-05 05:00:05 UTC

differnent time preference

2019-08-05 05:00:40 UTC

It's the situational requirements of the given missions that change that pacing.

2019-08-05 05:00:49 UTC

Bravery is to idiocy as genius is to madness.

2019-08-05 05:01:08 UTC

sounds about right

2019-08-05 05:01:13 UTC

Success defines both.

2019-08-05 05:01:28 UTC

This is a fair assessment.
