It was filled to the brim with happening and was spiced up with badass action scenes
All very nicely interwoven
The US series had no consistency
Closest modern thing was burn notice
They treated it as some CSA Miami single-episode-thing and thought that would do
Also their action scenes were very cheesy and obviously on a cheap budget
Had it happened withour "La Femme Nikita", it would garner some success
But the original just outshines this one
Just waiting for them to do hylander and truly jump the shark
This whole girl-power-007 will be a mild-to-giant fiasco
They will get annihilated by the fan base
After Ghost Busters and Ocean's 11 reboots in vaginal style people are fed up with this switcheroo
It can be done you just have to put the effort in to do it properly and they are not willing to do that work
They offer no new plot, worse writing, worse cast than the original, and they low-key shit on the previous franchise and thus their fans
This can't go on for long
Eventually that box-office failure will become too much of a burden
