as soon as Brexit is done, Labour will agree to a General Election
at least it flushed out the Remainers from the Tory party but at the cost of losing the majority of the house

The remain elements would have only killed the conservatives off
So it was just a matter of removing the hostile elements now or letting them rot the party

but the problem is the Fixed Term Parliamentary Act that requires a 2/3 majority of the House (not of those present and voting when the vote is held) to call a general election
that piece of legislation robs governements of their right to call an election at their choosing
thus the current madness
