2018-06-22 23:47:15 UTC

ahh nice one ppf

2018-06-22 23:47:22 UTC

we'll talk about maps as i'm reading it i guess

2018-06-22 23:47:31 UTC

I'm currently reading dale carnegie

2018-06-22 23:47:41 UTC

good book

2018-06-22 23:47:51 UTC

is that the name of the book?

2018-06-22 23:48:02 UTC

or is he one of the carnegies

2018-06-22 23:48:15 UTC

The book is titled How to win friends and influence people

2018-06-22 23:48:19 UTC

ahhh ye

2018-06-22 23:48:20 UTC

by dale carnegie

2018-06-22 23:48:33 UTC

that title keeps popping up for me

2018-06-22 23:48:39 UTC

maybe i should get it at some point

2018-06-22 23:48:39 UTC

good read so far

2018-06-22 23:48:57 UTC

it's a book about influence, right?

2018-06-22 23:49:08 UTC

kinda like the title suggests but not as basic

2018-06-22 23:49:29 UTC

forget i ever made that false distinction

2018-06-22 23:49:33 UTC

lol

2018-06-22 23:49:55 UTC

Im in chapter 5 right now and so far the best way I can summarize this book is to do unto others as you would have them do unto you

2018-06-22 23:51:00 UTC

alright cool. i'll keep it in mind for the future. but right now i'm stacked for books :-/ maps of meaning comes next, but i've got a to-read list longer than a leonard cohen song. it's so intimidating i almost don't want to do any of it

2018-06-22 23:51:24 UTC

That one is good Ppf. The how to win friends. Have you read the four agreements?

2018-06-22 23:51:38 UTC

no not yet jay is that another one of dale's books?

2018-06-22 23:52:10 UTC

No I can’t remember the author but it’s a good one that aligns a lot with how to win friends

2018-06-22 23:52:22 UTC

And also teaches a practical way to achieve perfect peace

2018-06-22 23:53:21 UTC

Through “four agreements” with yourself. Always try your best, don’t make assumptions, be impeccable with your word, and don’t tale anything personal

2018-06-22 23:55:48 UTC

that second one is tough. it's one that i struggle with. consciously, i can guarantee in certain situations i won't make assumptions, like with other people - i take them as a blank slate no matter what i might of heard or how they dress etc. common courtesy i reckon. but when we talk that blank slate starts to fill up with things; insights about whoever i'm talking with etc. i'm too hard on myself about how much of that is assumption, because i'm trying to steer clear for practical reasons but... assumptions are a tricky one

2018-06-22 23:58:37 UTC

ppf, any thoughts on firing up them subreddits?

2018-06-23 00:00:14 UTC

and are you affiliated with jesse and the show in any way?

2018-06-23 00:03:24 UTC

Ppf runs this discord and moderates the superchat for the youtube. I’m sure he does things for bond as well.

2018-06-23 00:04:02 UTC

And a bunch of other stuff I don’t know about yet lol

2018-06-23 00:05:34 UTC

yeah. i suggested he open up some subreddits for jesse. /r/thefallenstate is still up for taking

2018-06-23 00:05:55 UTC

and /r/jesseleepeterson is probably open. haven't checked

2018-06-23 00:06:07 UTC

im gonna check it out Jay, is this the one?

2018-06-23 00:06:12 UTC

Yup

2018-06-23 00:06:16 UTC

sweet

2018-06-23 00:06:32 UTC

It’s short but it’s dense in my opinion if that makes sense

2018-06-23 00:07:21 UTC

I have a friend @kernalkrackerz who is versed in reddit, maybe he could set something up if he likes. I don't have much experience with it

2018-06-23 00:08:11 UTC

the best things come in small packages

2018-06-23 00:08:39 UTC

Anyone following this QAnon stuff? Fucking creepy as hell

2018-06-23 00:08:55 UTC

no, this is the first I've heard of it

2018-06-23 00:09:00 UTC

it's pretty easy. just a couple of points and a couple of clicks. everywhere you see network buttons like fb and twitter and so on, so long as there's a community there you'll usually see a reddit button alongside it
