Legalization would guarantee a 2020 win but most folks that hate him would still hate him since their democratic leaders would yay the bill and have their name behind it as well

But it wont happen - if anything, it would just be decriminalized, not legalized
Theres already a decriminalization bill thats been introduced sponsored by both reps and dems
It will eliminate criminal penalties and take it off schedule I list
legalization wouldn't help anybody or anything. it would just normalize erratic loony goofy behavior

from my understanding, it wouldn't be a complete legalization - would still be illegal to ship, distribute, etc. - alcohol and illegal weed has already normalized erratic loony behavior - just look at college fraternities or college culture as a whole - decriminalization is in line with a prison reform agenda because of the stiff penalties that some have received for simple possession - i dont necessarily support legalization but definitely think decriminalization makes sense
either way, I support the President's agenda in all he does
