Yeah, but I still hold a special place in my heart for it.
It's my own little opiate.
I fear humanity's end, you are too optimistic for its demise. We are opposite but both irrational.
It will be somewhere in the middle.
Nah, I just like the idea of being a cyborg forever and seeing the world change.
Transhumanism is a little overly religious.
That's what we spoke about earlier. Humanity's ego means nothing. Not even stars deserve to survive the future.
I'm just a humanist who clings to material things because it's literally all we have.
I think you just want to live forever, with all the pleasures that it brings.
Indisputably.
Boring.
When I say "cling to material things", I mean my dick.
(not really)
Isn't boring to live forever?
Naaaah.
Not for autists.
I don't see anything boring about it.
I'm an acid head. The world is a beautiful place and I enjoy viewing it, and I would enjoy doing so forever.
@MrSally If you understand how things works it becomes boring because things repeat themselves. It is always the same thing and always will be.
Thank god I'd still be able to kill myself, but I doubt I ever would.
After 30 the excitement of life passes many.
Not gonna happen for me, no way.
I've been through too much shit to even let a second pass me by without finding something to value.
What gonna happen after 1000 years?
Some cool shit, I guarantee you.
Same
No idea, but it's gonna be cool.
You not gonna be "cool" anymore.
You will change
I've never been cool so that's not a problem.
Everything change
I've always been an outsider.
I think I would like to empirically prove that history runs in cycles because morons forget shit.
The promise of technology is your best possible time in your life and more. Because your vigour and interest in life is only chemicals, and they can be modified so that your best memories are enhanced. There would, in cyborgs, be a feedback loop of pleasure, where the object of pleasure is enhanced, as well as the ability to experience it. It would be a hedonistic market with pleasure based economics.
This song just makes me think about how we have major societal systems in place today based on people from millennia ago being scared of where the sun went at night and worried that it was because god was mad at them.
Maybe it's the "alleluiah" part.
😅
Nothing wrong with hedonism in post-scarcity land
That's the whole point.
