Do you enjoy being yourself?
@MrSally Yesterday - historically speaking as a metaphor - surveillance wasn't so much an issue since it was so resource heavy and complicated. You could move politics on it faster than it could move. But now the expanding limits on technology means it can keep or outpace technology, making the NSA more and more out of proportion with the Democratic powers supposedly controlling it.
I get that the subjective is a reflection of the material, and we are limited to our abilities as humans, but still I know that there is a better world just outside my reach, and my ego betrays me at every turn.
I don't think that's true.
The technical growth in manufacture is also limiting the input of man in manufacture, so a firm could simply pay a little more if the workers go back to sleep and still keep their profit.
If time is linear and moving forward, it behests us all to prepare and have strong theories about where we are headed. This implies and temporal restraint on what the ego tells us as true.
That's alright.
I just have to read it a couple of times.
I'm technically on break at work so I can't get too invested either.
Mmmm
Also, don't forget the ego is not the entire subconscious. There is id and super-ego.
I do want to add that in relevance to this discussion talk of a UBI may cut off any honest revolutionary potential if the regular people get what many would consider peak Socialism: money for simply existing. Did if Zucker gets into the White House on this promise - as I heard it theorized - how do you out progressive something that'd be peak progressivism for this generation.
And now to go finish up the night.
Mmk, see ya.

@Deleted User My friend!
My ally
@MrSally When I was talking about Ego, I was referring to individualism, not Freud.
There was more to it than what they thought.
This is why Stirner was wrong.
Stirner actually died the year Freud was born.
When I talk about ego, I am only talking about the human psyche, not 'rational self-interest' which is never rational.
Ayn Rand was a sad, abused person who deserved a better life and probably would have been a better philosopher had she experienced more happiness.
"Rational self-interest" means someone else's worst interest could be your best. This is, of course, one of the slimiest philosophies in the history of philosophy.
It is also the cause of the modern divided politics and views on the economy in America.
One side says the philosophy of rational self-interest is slimy, the other says it is rational. Scientifically speaking, data supports the slimy view because a couple of people profit and thousands are screwed.
So there's my little digression on why I am an egoist to some level. I'm not *that kind* of egoist.
Anyways, I've gotta go to bed now. Good talking to you all, goodnight.
In my particular experience and reading, most people tend to want to help.
Gee I love waiting to finish my shit and the one piece of epuipment I need is in use.
Squat rack is overrated.
Can I get my cherry picker now?
At least this is like a third break. Just lean up against something and wait for when I need to help with a water heater.
