Message from warmaster2143 in South African Border War: Operation Savannah #mapping
Bases often had "sand walls" rather than HESCO barriers as I believe they weren't invented yet at that time?
I'm going to work on some map assets so Warmaster can get cracking.
Likely the SADF tent as the first asset
So the test map will be a "base"
changed the green grass for dead grass
looks more like the real thing
im also going to change out some of the buildings for tents
looking very nice
The sand bags should be a brown colour other than that its looking great
Will be making brown textures
Hay everyone just letting you know i started getting an issue if i tried to play our test map in the editor where it would crash and tried to find a fix with no success. So i decided to just create the map over from scratch and also make the map bigger
A lot off work still to do and the lighting is also a thing i need to work on. And i changed the green sandbags for the brown once
Trying to get a layout off where everything is going to be
And yes the big mountains in the back does look a bit weird will change that has i work on the test map
Looking good War. sand walls are a little too close but good as a concept. Grass on them doesn't look accurate to the SADF base and camps references
Want to see these flags flying over the base.
