The issue with multi-culturalism is that there's no way to make sure people will cooperate or integrate.
And then you just have an empire where the subjects can clog up the system.

2017-03-07 10:03:53 UTC

Is it purely on religious lines or are there deeper issues at play?

2017-03-07 10:04:08 UTC

Religious, Ethnic and Cultural.

2017-03-07 10:04:24 UTC

I mean in politics.
What do the red and green politicians support?

2017-03-07 10:06:09 UTC

Biafrans supported Jonathan who was part of the PDP, their main ideologies are Conservatism, Economic Liberalism (Neo Liberalism) and "Big Tent"

2017-03-07 10:06:52 UTC

Northerners supported Buhari, of the APC, main ideologies are Social Conservatism, Islamic Law (Sharia), and "Big Tent"

2017-03-07 10:07:36 UTC

Sounds like a partition/seperatism is probably the best option.
But I don't see nigeria allowing that.

2017-03-07 10:08:11 UTC

Yeah, hence why they send Nigerian Military personnel to deal with Pro-Biafran advocates

2017-03-07 10:09:36 UTC

However, Biafrans do recieve support from other countries, they look favourably on Putin, Trump, Israel and Brexit

2017-03-07 10:10:24 UTC

And in return there are Biafrans living in the US, Europe, Eastern Asia and other places that organize groups to show support.

2017-03-07 10:10:37 UTC

That's pretty cool.

2017-03-07 10:10:59 UTC

Is there any real chance of Biafran independence?

2017-03-07 10:11:44 UTC

Well one of the main nationalist movements, the IPOB have set up an organogram of how the Biafran government will function

2017-03-07 10:12:09 UTC

Some other nationalist movements are encouraging and setting up local Biafran law enforcement, something similar to AntiCom

2017-03-07 10:12:48 UTC

Interesting.
I suppose the Nigerian government will do whatever they can to disrupt this?

2017-03-07 10:13:07 UTC

They will try

2017-03-07 10:13:49 UTC

However the current president isn't at his optimal health, he's been taking a lot of sick leaves lately

2017-03-07 10:14:10 UTC

He also has Boko Haram in the North to deal with

2017-03-07 10:14:24 UTC

I hear they're annoying as shit.

2017-03-07 10:14:31 UTC

As well as the Niger-Delta conflict, which could impact Oil prices

2017-03-07 10:14:44 UTC

Yeah, Boko Haram are barbarians, essentially ISIS.

2017-03-07 10:15:08 UTC

However it's general knowledge to Biafrans that the current president is in bed with Boko Haram

2017-03-07 10:15:33 UTC

Islamic leaders seem to support these radical terrorist groups.

2017-03-07 10:15:55 UTC

What evidence is there for that?

2017-03-07 10:17:29 UTC

Islamic leaders sponsoring radical groups, or the president supporting Boko Haram?

2017-03-07 10:20:00 UTC

The second.

2017-03-07 10:47:12 UTC

During the early 80s, Nigeria had a major coup de d'état, Buhari being a major player, he was essentially planned to be put in as head of state. During the rise of Boko Haram, he openly denounced the groups actions. Since he's taken power democratically in 2015, Boko Haram has been surging. He generally takes little military action against them or other Islamic groups like the Fulani Herdsmen, but when it comes to Biafrans and Militants of the Niger-Delta Region, he denounces them as terrorists and usually sends their military personnel to deal with them.

2017-03-07 10:47:36 UTC

He isn't directly supporting Boko Haram outright, but his ommitence to their actions do help their cause

2017-03-07 10:47:56 UTC

Alright, so if they're not controlled opposition then he isn't doing enough to stop them at least?

2017-03-07 10:48:28 UTC

Essentially, yeah.

2017-03-07 10:48:44 UTC

I getcha. Shitty situation.

2017-03-07 10:48:50 UTC

Very

2017-03-07 10:50:10 UTC

But with tensions increasing, seperation may be coming soon.

2017-03-07 10:50:27 UTC

There's also a surprising amount of people on /pol/ that supports Biafrans

2017-03-07 10:51:13 UTC

Christians are better than muslims.
And Pol is always happy to support random movement in africa.

Remember when they declared support for the Gambian empire?

2017-03-07 10:51:49 UTC

oh yeah

2017-03-07 10:51:53 UTC

Jammeh, the madman

2017-03-07 10:52:27 UTC

VICTORY FOR JAMMEH was a good get.

2017-03-07 10:54:07 UTC

Anyway, I'm excited for the Vault7 thing

2017-03-07 10:54:22 UTC

I hope it's something good.
