Wow... I'm finally an alpha now

Here's a repost from the old server. Paleo Mac and cheese. The "macaroni" is diced cauliflower

I thought cheese wasn't Paleo?

2017-12-10 22:44:22 UTC

Definitely isnt. Cheating is what a caveman would do though

2017-12-10 22:45:18 UTC

Meant to type keto. I'm a nutrition noob but the chef wasn't

2017-12-10 22:45:38 UTC

Oh. Well I dunno what that is but sounds fancy

Does anyone know what effects drinking a lot of tea has on you? Iced tea (sans sugar, of course,) is basically all I think, and several more cups of hot tea before bed. A while ago I experienced kidney stones for the first time, and needless to say that’s something I’d rather avoid in the future. I’ve read that drinking too much tea, coffee, and soda (don’t drink the last one at all,) can sometimes cause kidney stones, but does anyone here know anything about that? How much is safe to drink then? What’s optimal?

2017-12-11 02:41:43 UTC

My wife can't drink much tea bc of kidney stones.

2017-12-11 02:41:55 UTC

According to doctors

2017-12-11 02:42:23 UTC

I wonder if it depends on the tea

2017-12-11 03:01:16 UTC

Might. I know they told my wife it was minerals from the tea leaves. Probably have to look at nutritional info to determine if one is worse than the other.

2017-12-11 04:07:47 UTC

Do Brits get a lot of kidney stones? If not I call bs on that advice

2017-12-11 04:09:11 UTC

Never got a kidney stone yet, but could be the tea you drink.

2017-12-11 04:09:44 UTC

Its also possible it's just the inability to process minerals in the tea quick enough to exit the body

2017-12-11 04:10:33 UTC

@The Eternal Anglo many different kinds

2017-12-12 05:24:54 UTC

How the fuck does tea give you kidney stones? Wtf that makes me mad

2017-12-12 05:25:15 UTC

I refuse to cut down on tea

2017-12-12 05:56:35 UTC

@Deleted User sounds like liberal bullshit tbh

2017-12-12 06:03:24 UTC

You would think the water in the tea would counteract any ill effects of minerals or whatever

2017-12-12 06:06:13 UTC

It's the oxalate in some types of tea apparently

2017-12-14 02:45:50 UTC

RIP I drink a ton of Arizona Green Tea

2017-12-14 02:48:10 UTC

That has so much sugar

2017-12-16 01:28:55 UTC

Precious calories

2017-12-16 10:07:26 UTC

Drink milk for liquid calories

2017-12-17 01:56:56 UTC

So what's the rundown on IBS and nutrition?

2017-12-17 17:33:01 UTC

@Koba#0202 Don't eat fried potatoes

2017-12-17 17:34:07 UTC

Eat clean. Stay hydrated, and you should be good

2017-12-18 00:03:26 UTC

☝🏻I thought I had ibs for a lot of my life until I got ahold of my diet

2017-12-18 00:03:40 UTC

Now I don't ever have a problem

2017-12-18 03:13:02 UTC

Interesting, that could be it then because it doesn't run in my family. At RIT I only really ate Oreos, scrambled eggs and ramen with a lot of alcohol on the weekends. Diets gotten better since then, I'll experiment with it some and see what results I get

2017-12-18 19:59:24 UTC

One of my new year resolutions is to improve my oral health. Does anyone have recommendations for a good natural toothpaste?

2017-12-18 20:01:37 UTC

And actually since I'm asking this, perhaps we could also add hygiene channel?

2017-12-18 20:01:37 UTC

I like perioclear a lot

2017-12-18 20:02:07 UTC

What's good about it?

2017-12-18 20:02:35 UTC
2017-12-18 20:05:49 UTC

Oh that looks really good. I've been looking for one that doesn't have toxic fluride in it.

2017-12-18 20:06:48 UTC

Yeah give it a shot and let me know what you think

2017-12-18 20:09:20 UTC

Thanks man I will.
