So I bought a giant bag of flaxseed from Costco to put in my smoothies. It wasn’t until I got home that I found out that flaxseeds have phytoestrogens, but they are lignans and not isoflavones.

2018-01-09 17:18:00 UTC

Yes :/

2018-01-09 17:18:24 UTC

I have removed most nonanimal fat sources

2018-01-09 17:18:35 UTC

I'll eat mixed nuts but flax is not ideal

2018-01-09 17:19:12 UTC

But is flax ok to consume?

2018-01-09 17:19:22 UTC

Yes

2018-01-09 19:19:03 UTC

Lots of Omega-3, which helps with Testosterone production, among other things.

2018-01-09 19:39:41 UTC

I believe the whole phytoestrogens thing is extremely overblown. Like Praetorian said, they’re actually a great source of omega 3s.
But if you *really* care about avoiding phytoestrogens that much, chia seeds are almost identical in nutritional profile.

Check out this video if you want to see what soy does to men. Soyattle is full of these manginas.

Chia seeds are the ideal food

http://www.fertstert.org/article/S0015-0282(09)00966-2/fulltext Interesting read.

"The results of this meta-analysis indicate that neither soy protein nor isoflavones affect reproductive hormone concentrations in men regardless of age or cancer status. These results suggest that consumption of soy foods or isoflavone supplements would not result in the adverse effects associated with lower T levels (31, 32, 33)."

Vegan master race @Ekdromoi

All I want to say is I’ve been vegan for 2 years and eat soy products semi regularly. No negative health effects, no problems with test levels, and I have been lifting 5 days per week over that same period - you can ask anyone from the Northeast who all know me IRL for reference.
It’s likely the Try Guys eat a standard omnivorous American diet and are betas by nature - not as a result of phytoestrogens.

2018-01-09 21:00:23 UTC

BUT ITS OK IF YOU DISAGREE AND ARENT VEGAN THATS FINE YOU DONT HAVE TO EAT SOY IF YOU DONT WANT TO

2018-01-09 21:06:05 UTC

They have no more arguments, they need to go vegan

2018-01-09 21:06:51 UTC

I’ve seen too many friendships die this way.

2018-01-09 21:09:59 UTC

Agreed, but if they have can't formulate an argument against it or any argument they have doesn't hold water logically or in terms of health, then they should go vegan. It's definitely not a pressing issue right now, but when we have our future secured, it'll be a talking point then.

2018-01-09 22:24:27 UTC

I go full cod liver oil for fats

2018-01-09 22:24:32 UTC

Omega 3 I mean

2018-01-09 22:24:51 UTC

My system is very sensitive

2018-01-09 22:25:13 UTC

Would rather avoid all possible sources of estrogen

2018-01-09 23:50:59 UTC

Yeah, the soy argument for whatever reason can get pretty heated.

2018-01-09 23:51:38 UTC

It is not de wae

2018-01-09 23:52:07 UTC

We had a new IE member flip out in here a while back -- he told someone who was arguing that soy wasn't that bad that he was a Jewish shill and should get killed by antifa.

2018-01-09 23:52:12 UTC

Needless to say, we let him go.

2018-01-10 00:03:51 UTC

Lol

2018-01-10 00:39:51 UTC

what do you guys think of the ECA stack?

2018-01-10 00:40:05 UTC

Are primatene tablets a good way to get ephedrine for pre-workout?

2018-01-10 00:41:04 UTC

It works but the A is now considered unnecessary

2018-01-10 00:41:13 UTC

Bronkaid is the common go to for ephedrine

2018-01-10 00:41:40 UTC

Can be bought behind the counter at Walgreens.

2018-01-10 00:42:14 UTC

Just be careful because it can get your heart rate really high if you do HIIT or any high intensity cardio

2018-01-10 00:42:52 UTC

want to do it in combo with intermittent fasting

2018-01-10 00:43:06 UTC

i don't do HIIT

2018-01-10 00:45:03 UTC

That's the best way to do it I think

2018-01-10 00:45:21 UTC

And definitely don't do MMA while on it

2018-01-10 00:47:37 UTC

What's the pro/cons of that vs a traditional pre workout powder like no explode or c4? I'm trying to start working out before work but it's hard for me to get going

2018-01-10 00:51:34 UTC

ECA is primarily used for fat loss

2018-01-10 00:52:14 UTC

It's not really a pre workout but it will definitely give you energy

2018-01-10 00:54:14 UTC

Ya I knew it gave you energy. I thought the fat loss just came from working out with the energy it gave you. I am definitely not wanting to lose any weight so I better stay away. I guess I'll try a good pre workout. I've used a couple different ones in the past being the two I previously listed.

2018-01-10 00:58:45 UTC

Fat loss occurs on ECA by increasing your resting heart rate. Studies show it helps decrease bodyfat while retaining significant amounts of muscle mass

2018-01-10 00:59:13 UTC

I'd just go for a preworkout... my favourite is nitraflex from GAT or Bang
