What's your strongest pull

2018-04-07 04:59:09 UTC

btb/conventional/sumo?

2018-04-07 04:59:31 UTC

Conventional. And I've hit 500 before.

2018-04-07 04:59:51 UTC

gg

2018-04-07 05:00:12 UTC

my strongest is defo behind the back

2018-04-07 05:00:18 UTC

leverages are weird that way

2018-04-07 05:00:37 UTC

I did 405 back in 2017

2018-04-07 05:01:05 UTC

which wasn't too hard, but granted then my conventional wasn't even 350

2018-04-07 05:01:30 UTC

I should have a conventional now of 405 when I finish this cycle

2018-04-07 05:01:45 UTC

Am stronk 💪🏻

2018-04-07 05:02:21 UTC

Honestly though once you figure out how to maximize your glutes and hammies deadlift is pretty easy imo

2018-04-07 05:02:34 UTC

Doesn't kill my knee like squatting does as well

2018-04-07 05:03:01 UTC

yeah I've engrained alot better muscle recruitment this time around

2018-04-07 05:03:13 UTC

Actually feeling my glutes

2018-04-07 05:03:54 UTC

Mental muscle recruitment is far from a meme

2018-04-07 05:04:08 UTC

my legs make it so there isnt a difference between a stiff leg dl and a normal dl

2018-04-07 05:04:21 UTC

I always picture my glutes and hams doing all the work, save for the last bit where I lean back

2018-04-07 05:04:21 UTC

well, hardly much a difference

2018-04-07 05:04:44 UTC

How do you set up? That can make a difference as well

2018-04-07 05:05:20 UTC

I've done a LOT of research on my Deadlift, as it used to be my worst and most dreaded exercise

2018-04-07 05:05:41 UTC

Now that I've figured things out, squats have regained that title

2018-04-07 05:06:02 UTC

squats will never agree with my femur length

2018-04-07 05:06:17 UTC

My knee is the biggest thing, tbh

2018-04-07 05:06:30 UTC

I start hitting 400+ and my knee feels like it's on fire

2018-04-07 05:06:33 UTC

I need wraps

2018-04-07 05:06:40 UTC

hm

2018-04-07 05:07:12 UTC

The only thing I know about having healthy knees is not letting quads overtake your hammies

2018-04-07 05:07:25 UTC

so it doesn't pull your patella around out of place

2018-04-07 05:08:33 UTC

I pretty much don't have a meniscus nor a good chunk of cartilage in my knee

2018-04-07 05:08:44 UTC

ouch

2018-04-07 05:08:47 UTC

Tends to cause a lot of stability issues

2018-04-07 05:09:02 UTC

Plus a lot of inflammation there

2018-04-07 05:09:06 UTC

mine clicks, cause I didn't treat it right for awhile

2018-04-07 05:09:22 UTC

Yeah I've no advice to help you there haha

2018-04-07 05:10:12 UTC

Just got a shitty surgeon to do my survey, lol

2018-04-07 05:10:26 UTC

Told me it was going to be a minor fix prior

2018-04-07 05:11:14 UTC

Next thing I know in the post op he's like "Yeah turns out it was a lot more damaged than we thought it was gonna be. But don't worry, it'll feel like new in 6 months!"

2018-04-07 05:11:26 UTC

3 1/2 years later I'm still waiting

2018-04-07 05:11:50 UTC

f

2018-04-07 05:12:46 UTC

To be fair though, should've expected that it was bad. Most people when they tear their meniscus can often continue to compete and lift for quite some time, even up to the day of their surgery. I put any weight on it or if my knee twisted the slightest it was enough to put me on the ground.

2018-04-07 05:13:08 UTC

damn
