Told me it was going to be a minor fix prior

2018-04-07 05:11:14 UTC

Next thing I know in the post op he's like "Yeah turns out it was a lot more damaged than we thought it was gonna be. But don't worry, it'll feel like new in 6 months!"

2018-04-07 05:11:26 UTC

3 1/2 years later I'm still waiting

2018-04-07 05:11:50 UTC

f

To be fair though, should've expected that it was bad. Most people when they tear their meniscus can often continue to compete and lift for quite some time, even up to the day of their surgery. I put any weight on it or if my knee twisted the slightest it was enough to put me on the ground.

2018-04-07 05:13:08 UTC

damn

2018-04-07 05:13:12 UTC

that's shit

2018-04-07 05:13:47 UTC

Making me really want to treat mine right now haha

2018-04-07 05:14:08 UTC

Lol you should be fine. TRUST ME, you'll know when it's bad lol

2018-04-07 05:15:00 UTC

Also, I think it got so bad because I tore it on a Monday pretty bad, but continued playing until the last few bits of the game on Friday where I was cut several times by a Tight End.

2018-04-07 05:15:12 UTC

I used to use way to much quad and no posterior chain when squatting , that's what caused whatever little damage I have rn

2018-04-07 05:15:39 UTC

right, gotta rest shit

2018-04-07 05:16:03 UTC

when I fucked up my foot, I nursed the hell out of it for like a month

2018-04-07 05:16:20 UTC

now I'm kicking harder than before with it :)

2018-04-07 05:16:30 UTC

2018-04-07 05:18:07 UTC

I think I have lowbar down now. 4 weeks of 10x10 really helped. Pulled 455 sumo the other day so might make the switch (gasp) idk yet

2018-04-07 21:37:24 UTC

Lots of volume lol

2018-04-07 21:37:28 UTC

Damn wtf at those reps

2018-04-07 21:37:41 UTC

Cardio for days

2018-04-07 21:37:50 UTC

For a powerliftwr I do volume blocks so I don’t have to run

2018-04-07 21:38:23 UTC

Or run as much*. Slowly building back down to strength. Hoping this helps me finally break 500 squat

2018-04-07 21:38:29 UTC

Powerwalking crew checking in

2018-04-07 21:38:39 UTC

If you're pushing those numbers you're doing something right obviously.

2018-04-07 21:38:41 UTC

Nice numbers.

2018-04-07 21:39:24 UTC

Thanks, next week I go to 5x10. Hoping to run that to 365 then deload and hit some strength blocks

2018-04-07 21:40:07 UTC

>tfw want to lift heavy but also be cut

2018-04-07 21:40:25 UTC

I eagerly await bulk season

2018-04-09 01:18:10 UTC

Take cold showers and build cold tolerance

2018-04-09 01:19:56 UTC

literaly just go outside in the cold more

2018-04-09 01:20:07 UTC

and wear relatively warm enough clothes

2018-04-09 01:20:29 UTC

you'll find once you get started, you'll be wanting to take layers off instead

2018-04-09 14:25:15 UTC

Ya I start every workout in 3 layers, hoodie over sweatshirt over shirt. Then sweats over shorts. After two warmups I’m gtg. I walk to my gym tho
