i try to just eliminate as much knee travel as possible and really focus on using hip rom

2017-12-09 20:55:31 UTC

no knee problems now

2017-12-09 20:55:48 UTC

plus i made my posterior chain dominant instead of quads

2017-12-09 20:55:59 UTC

really helped

2017-12-09 20:56:42 UTC

Nice

2017-12-09 21:25:34 UTC

@JohnStrasser How do you know if it's straining the wrong part of the knee?

2017-12-09 21:26:02 UTC

@Deleted User just a heads up as well I ordered 2 mediums and they shipped me a med and a large on accident

2017-12-09 21:26:16 UTC

Might be worth going with sbd instead

2017-12-09 22:20:27 UTC

@Deleted User buy either SBD, STrong, or Rehband knee sleeves.

2017-12-09 22:20:58 UTC

If you buy the cheap shit, it will do a shit job and won't last very long.

2017-12-09 22:24:08 UTC

i have rehbands, they're good quality

2017-12-09 22:35:26 UTC

@Nick-NJ How do you know if the sleeve isn't assisting the knee in load balancing?

2017-12-09 22:41:47 UTC

I can usually tell by how snug the fit is and by the thickness of the sleeve

2017-12-09 22:42:30 UTC

The best sleeves are all neoprene and are labelled in terms of whether they go on the right or left knee

2017-12-09 23:01:15 UTC

@Deleted User know what's wrong with your knee and find the right brace for your issue

2017-12-10 01:03:13 UTC

@JohnStrasser I'm not sure what's wrong with them, they just hurt in the joint when I squat or walk up stairs etc etc

2017-12-10 01:03:25 UTC

Been like that for a couple of years now

2017-12-10 01:03:37 UTC

would you say the pain is directly in the middle of you knee

2017-12-10 01:03:40 UTC

My family has a history of knee replacements

2017-12-10 01:03:42 UTC

Yeah

2017-12-10 01:03:47 UTC

also does jumping hurt

2017-12-10 01:03:49 UTC

Its in the joint

2017-12-10 01:03:57 UTC

sounds like meniscus

2017-12-10 01:03:58 UTC

Jumping doesn't hurt that much

2017-12-10 01:04:09 UTC

Its not a lot of pain

2017-12-10 01:04:21 UTC

But it's noticeable, like a bruise I guess

2017-12-10 01:04:28 UTC

depending on how serious the tear is, its not always that painful

2017-12-10 01:04:34 UTC

could be a minor tear

2017-12-10 01:04:35 UTC

Interesting

2017-12-10 01:04:40 UTC

I'll talk to a doc

2017-12-10 01:05:03 UTC

research laterall meniscus tears

2017-12-10 01:05:31 UTC

Thx

2017-12-10 01:47:12 UTC

@Deleted User do you experience a lot of knee valgus when squatting?

2017-12-10 01:47:35 UTC

Valgus? @Nick-NJ#9920

2017-12-10 01:47:58 UTC

@Deleted User knees bent inward

2017-12-10 01:48:09 UTC

"knocking knees"

2017-12-10 01:49:02 UTC

Knees bent inward? Eww. That sounds like snap city

2017-12-10 03:11:52 UTC

It's very common depending on your skeletal structure. I'm prone to valgus when squatting, and it's the main culprit of my knee pain

2017-12-10 03:14:25 UTC

^^^

2017-12-10 03:14:43 UTC

Gotta work on that hip strength. I started falling into it for a while But have largely fixed it bow
