@Pat-MA when I was younger i had some things like that happen numerous times I grew up as a skinny white boy in queens, I never said anything back even got slapped around once. The feeling of not doing something is a million times worse than any pain you'll get from a fight trust me. When I was like 16 I said never again and I took steps to never let that happen again. I've been in a share of scraps win some lose some but none of it sticks out as bad as not doing something. These things happen take them as a lesson and as motivation.

Let me take to the opportunity to shill for training. I’m not bragging at all but I train so much nowadays that my body is like a spring trap. Sometimes my wife (who trains too) or friends will come up and poke me or tag me playfully. My body reacts on its own in fractions of a second into a defensive maneuver. It’s really fun to see that and gives me a great deal of confidence.
