on the end of my bench is a quad extention bit, I put it up completely, slip my knees under and use it as an improvised seated calve raise
There is a squat machine. I do actual squats in the free-weight barbell rack/cage. But I do calves in the machine, just raising up and down utilizing the elevation of the machine's foot platform as compared to the actual ground.
can't really load a bunch of weight with this method sadly
and i just do standing barbell calve raises
but you gotta balance, so can't go super heavy either
just my own limitations
Is this server on slack
@BigBadSaxon - ID No but there are a couple fitness rooms on RocketChat
Gym lookin sick tho 👀
I see no problem with that gym tbh
Lumberjack competition on ABC rn. Better than football. Functional and very huwyte.
Notice it's outsider cat ladies complaining about the gym, not the members..
the lady said " two lightning bolts"
this fuckin loon is straight up making things up lmao
there are no lightning bolts in massthetics symbology
Not to Styx-post, but there really is a moral panic going around, and not to Goad-post, but the bluehair/pinkhats are the same as the 1980s church ladies. seeing Satan/nahseez under every bed. Even in a Castizo/Hapa-friendly Roman-LARP gym
@Deleted User clearly, gatorade will fuel the fascist resurgence in modern politics
had me one today while training on the bag 👌
Nords are so innocent and childish. We need to protect these people
This one is better. This dude autistic af
is that a bed next to his floor blanket
Yeah, Idk what's up with that. He's autistic, dude
Boys. I did three one leg squats in a row on my right leg yesterday, and I did a 15 second L-sit today
So you admit you're strengthening the left
Haha solid edit
That's awesome though man, congrats!
Am physically incapable of one legged squats
I just tried doing one
Yep, that's hard
Not so much from a strength standpoint, but keeping balance
Flexibility is key for them as well
I have horrible flexibility so that might be it
When I was in community college, I took a PE class and we used a machine to test our flexibility and I couldn't even reach the machine
Flexibility is the number one factor in being able to move around as we age
If you dont want to be a crippled old man, I'd start stretching regularly
one hour stretching session per week in addition to all of your pre-stretch workouts. I will say that when I grapple and spar with new guys who are powerful and muscular, I submit them much faster on average than I submit new guys who aren't. Their muscles, tendons, and ligaments are generally much tighter and they often have to tap to avoid injury before I even apply a submission. Again I ask, what's the point of being strong and powerful if it doesn't help you in a fight?
