@CarletonJ Dude, that last video is great. I really missed my opportunity. I should've been born in Africa

I am not entirely sure where to ask this, so forgive me if I am asking this in the wrong channel, but I am looking for some good books on the Boers of S. Africa that tell the actual history of the country without hating on the Boers. I say history because I am already well acquainted with the more modern history of S. Africa (farm murders, terrible government). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

@Northri#4257 The Boer War by Martin Bossenbroek gives a good overview of the founding of transvaal and the free orange state, the british colonial possessions at the time and obviously the war of course. Without going into too much detail suffice to say it's a great explanation of the war and the history of the boer republics leading up to it.
