You can find and read both of these for free probably

2018-01-26 04:25:29 UTC

So you won't lose any money if you don't like them

2018-01-26 04:26:49 UTC

Don't worry about classics degrees. I didn't even finish my tbh. If it were up to me all young gentlemen would receive a classical education as they did for the past few hundred years

2018-01-26 04:27:57 UTC

If I find copies tomorrow I'll put them in history

2018-01-26 04:47:57 UTC

@StrawberryArmada Thanks for the info. I’ve become more of a modern Europeanist. Currently starting a 30-50 page essay on Pan-European nationalism

2018-01-26 13:34:19 UTC

I would recommend Mosley but

2018-01-26 13:34:27 UTC

You clearly already know him well

2018-01-26 20:02:57 UTC

@Jacob I love giving Jared money

2018-01-26 20:11:38 UTC

Same

2018-01-26 21:21:34 UTC

I just started Hwite Identity and all I hear is Jared’s voice in my head

2018-01-26 21:36:01 UTC

@DeusVolk Did you already finish Why We Fight?

2018-01-26 21:41:20 UTC

Yes.

2018-01-26 21:42:36 UTC

I had trouble pushing through the political dictionary parts though. Something about the endless definitions drains you as you push through. I actually think it’s a big flaw.

2018-01-26 21:45:24 UTC

Lol loved both videos!!!🤣💕🤞

2018-01-26 21:48:16 UTC

@SamanthaM I thoroughly enjoyed those.

2018-01-27 14:35:38 UTC

I feel like this server doesn't have high enough traffic to justify the massive number of channels. It's kind of daunting. We could probably just have the Book of the Month club and like Fiction and Non-Fiction discussion and that's it tbh

2018-01-27 14:36:48 UTC

i think a lot of the channels are just there to give book recs by category - not necessarily to have discussions

2018-01-27 17:17:39 UTC

Yeah, the purpose of the multi channels is to categorize book recommendations.

2018-01-27 19:11:00 UTC

@this_that5553 The category specific channels are supposed to be slow. They should be easy to scroll through. The idea is to *not* have thousands of messages to go through when you're just looking for a book recommendation.

2018-01-27 19:47:51 UTC

What’s up with these?

2018-01-27 19:48:27 UTC

Sorry, I just never know what are the channels that I should generally care about

2018-01-27 20:02:56 UTC

The "book of the month" channel is redundant, fair enough

2018-01-27 20:03:26 UTC

As for the other ones, just click on them and find out

2018-01-27 21:09:08 UTC

@this_that5553 IE Reading List is a working progress. Book of the Month is for announcing the book of the month and any important information that might go with that. Resources are self defined. General is for voice chat. Discussion BOTM is for our discussions that happen weekly. General is general chat. Goodreads is a website that connects other readers and their literature. TIR stands for Today I Read. Post anything new you've read or learned. Vote BOTM is for voting in the book of the month.

To better organize this, I just might make a category for BOTM.

2018-01-27 21:59:05 UTC

I’d appreciate the new category @CarletonJ that way if you’re participating you know what is relevant immediately

2018-01-27 21:59:58 UTC

Sure. Thanks for the suggestion.

2018-01-27 22:00:38 UTC

@Jacob not trying to be a bitch. Just want to give my feedback in case others thought the same

2018-01-27 22:01:22 UTC

No it's fine

2018-01-27 22:01:30 UTC

I'll have to wait until I'm at my office. I cannot move channels or categories from mobile.

2018-01-29 02:38:44 UTC

Would you well-read lads say that a book a week is a good goal?

2018-01-29 02:39:10 UTC

Definitely

2018-01-29 02:39:39 UTC

I feel like my cognitive abilities are deteriorating as time goes on. Would reading weekly help with this?

2018-01-29 02:40:12 UTC

It takes me a couple weeks usually to read anything

2018-01-29 06:28:08 UTC

Technically, 30 minutes of reading a day should be your bare minimum no matter what speed. I'd shoot for an hour and gauge your reading quota based on that. Better to be a slow reader who thoroughly digests what he reads than a reader who has something to prove by reading the entire library of congress and not retaining anything.

2018-01-29 19:05:01 UTC

@DavidOrlando#5630 I'll get you and Olivia set up when I get home

@DavidOrlando#5630

2018-01-30 10:46:32 UTC

I'm going to be honest and say I am having trouble with keeping up with the reading. Not sure if we got away from the 50 pgs/week or what but I am way behind
