@ANACHR0N1SM you're all set! Welcome to ILC.

2018-01-25 21:47:06 UTC

We are allowed to post non-copyrighted PDF's and text links correct?

2018-01-25 22:19:48 UTC

That is correct. So long as it's not copyrighted, you can post.

2018-01-26 04:03:19 UTC

I'm going to dump every Greek and Roman text ever

2018-01-26 04:03:24 UTC

You have been warned

If you were ever interesting in learning Latin or Greek, here’s a bunch of resources

2018-01-26 04:05:18 UTC

All public domain

2018-01-26 04:09:25 UTC

If anyone wants help with Latin I can assist as well

2018-01-26 04:19:15 UTC

@StrawberryArmada I’m a student of history but unfortunately have not had the luxury of going to a school with a good classics program. For simple biographies on Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar, what books would you recommend? I’ve been scared to buy one and it end up being revised by modern (((academia)))

2018-01-26 04:20:02 UTC

Hmm

2018-01-26 04:20:29 UTC

Only works on Caesar I've read were actually his own but

2018-01-26 04:21:40 UTC

Plutarch

2018-01-26 04:21:53 UTC

Wrote a biography of Alexander

2018-01-26 04:22:39 UTC

Naturally it isn't (((modified))) since its two thousand years old

2018-01-26 04:23:17 UTC

Of course the biographers of Rome didn't have the archeological resources we do, but they lived closer to the time of Alexander

2018-01-26 04:24:18 UTC

Plutarch also wrote a biography on Caesar

2018-01-26 04:24:41 UTC

Which is excellent because he lived right after Caesar

2018-01-26 04:25:04 UTC

You can find and read both of these for free probably

2018-01-26 04:25:29 UTC

So you won't lose any money if you don't like them

2018-01-26 04:26:49 UTC

Don't worry about classics degrees. I didn't even finish my tbh. If it were up to me all young gentlemen would receive a classical education as they did for the past few hundred years

2018-01-26 04:27:57 UTC

If I find copies tomorrow I'll put them in history

2018-01-26 04:47:57 UTC

@StrawberryArmada Thanks for the info. I’ve become more of a modern Europeanist. Currently starting a 30-50 page essay on Pan-European nationalism

2018-01-26 13:34:19 UTC

I would recommend Mosley but

2018-01-26 13:34:27 UTC

You clearly already know him well

2018-01-26 20:02:57 UTC

@Jacob I love giving Jared money

2018-01-26 20:11:38 UTC

Same

2018-01-26 21:21:34 UTC

I just started Hwite Identity and all I hear is Jared’s voice in my head

2018-01-26 21:23:28 UTC
2018-01-26 21:36:01 UTC

@DeusVolk Did you already finish Why We Fight?

2018-01-26 21:41:20 UTC

Yes.

2018-01-26 21:42:36 UTC

I had trouble pushing through the political dictionary parts though. Something about the endless definitions drains you as you push through. I actually think it’s a big flaw.

2018-01-26 21:45:24 UTC

Lol loved both videos!!!🤣💕🤞

2018-01-26 21:48:16 UTC

@SamanthaM I thoroughly enjoyed those.

2018-01-27 14:35:38 UTC

I feel like this server doesn't have high enough traffic to justify the massive number of channels. It's kind of daunting. We could probably just have the Book of the Month club and like Fiction and Non-Fiction discussion and that's it tbh

2018-01-27 14:36:48 UTC

i think a lot of the channels are just there to give book recs by category - not necessarily to have discussions

2018-01-27 17:17:39 UTC

Yeah, the purpose of the multi channels is to categorize book recommendations.

2018-01-27 19:11:00 UTC

@this_that5553 The category specific channels are supposed to be slow. They should be easy to scroll through. The idea is to *not* have thousands of messages to go through when you're just looking for a book recommendation.
