Finally close to finishing my book about the rape of Nanking, haven’t had much time to read lately

2019-01-26 12:04:35 UTC

Now I want to read about unit 731. If anyone has any recommendations for a book about that lemme know

2019-01-26 12:05:26 UTC

The school I went to never taught us about WW2 so I’m just doing research for myself

2019-01-26 12:17:21 UTC

Also damn the Chinese military is probably the least coordinated military I’ve ever read about

2019-01-26 20:55:56 UTC

What school did you go to that didn’t teach WW2? @NITRODUBS

2019-01-26 21:38:44 UTC

They said it was too sensitive of a topic lol

2019-01-26 21:39:02 UTC

So we literally did a study on the term “the elephant in the room” lmao

2019-01-26 21:49:11 UTC

The elephant has a looooooooooooong trunk.

2019-01-26 21:53:04 UTC

It funnily hooks acutely at the end too.

2019-01-26 21:55:02 UTC

Man that elephant has been kicked out of a lot of countries ...

2019-01-26 21:57:25 UTC

109 countries. Those elephants also make up 18 percent of global population but control the distribution of peanuts globally.

2019-01-27 07:38:24 UTC

😂😂

2019-01-28 20:53:33 UTC

Any recommendations on a book for nature vs nurture?

2019-01-28 20:53:58 UTC

@DaddyPaddy - FL The Blank Slate by Steven Pinker

@DaddyPaddy - FL Innate: How The Wiring of Our Brains Shapes Who We Are

2019-01-28 21:02:01 UTC

Thank you guys

The Evolutionary Psychology textbook by David buss

2019-01-28 21:23:17 UTC

Talks about Nature allows nurture in a few chapters

2019-01-28 21:23:58 UTC

There is no “nature vs nurture” but that nature is the foundation that allows nurture to occur. Culture is on a leash and biology holds that leash

I want to give it up to @Mick for being a highly committed member of the ILC server. My man has been in the BOTM discussion chat for TWO DAYS now!

2019-01-31 02:16:13 UTC

lol. I fell asleep right as the chat started!

2019-01-31 02:17:10 UTC

Anyway, I will more likely than not miss this Sundays chat, any thoughts on the next book?

2019-01-31 02:17:28 UTC

I know it's not on the list but I really think we should read Ship of Fools

2019-01-31 02:19:38 UTC

It should give us a lot to talk about since we're pretty much all of the mind that Tucker puts our positions out there to the average conservative, though often through coded language. would be really interesting to discuss I think

2019-01-31 02:21:04 UTC

We were discussing this last Sunday. We're not really sure what book to choose next, we were discussing either changing it up and reading a classic American adventure story like Oregon Trail or The Journals Of Lewis and Clark, but we also might read literature that is opposed to Identitarianism to learn counter arguments.

2019-01-31 02:21:38 UTC

Ship Of Fools has been recommended a few times, perhaps that title will be selected eventually as well.
