2021-01-25 23:57:01 UTC

oh yeah it depends u can go to the root directory and work ur way up to the history files and so on

2021-01-26 02:31:56 UTC

You can now buy stocks in Wish

2021-01-26 02:32:07 UTC

and they somehow have a Mkt cap of 15 billion

2021-01-26 06:40:09 UTC

sweet i can invest in scams

2021-01-26 12:09:54 UTC

i will invest in bullet proof helmets on wish, a 9 mm got through but......***invest***

2021-01-26 16:25:04 UTC

Did you just watch demolition ranch or something

2021-01-26 16:25:09 UTC

Cuz I think I saw that same video

2021-01-26 16:49:13 UTC

Hey how do I update to windows 96

2021-01-26 22:19:32 UTC

I thought my GTX 1660 was big

2021-01-26 22:19:44 UTC

the RTX 3080 is 3 or 4 times the size

2021-01-26 23:15:46 UTC

Yep

2021-01-26 23:42:48 UTC

3080 = electricity bill go brrr, so xtra thicc cooling is required

2021-01-27 00:10:26 UTC

Yeah... and a thicc PSU

2021-01-27 00:22:11 UTC

and a thicc UPS... mine flips out if i plug my AV receiver into it though, and would probably detonate if i plugged my laser printer into it

2021-01-27 00:24:35 UTC

Not sure if all laser printers are like this but mine for some reason draws over 10 amps when a print starts. I tripped the breaker multiple times till I figured out what outlets were on which circuit.

2021-01-27 00:24:40 UTC

I've got a thicc ultrawide display to go with my 3080. but it has 2 stuck pixels, one right in the center.

2021-01-27 00:25:05 UTC

They all are, they have a Fuser drum which needs to get really hot really fast

2021-01-27 00:25:29 UTC

mine draws 1500-1600W when starting up... i have to have it on its own circuit

2021-01-27 00:25:44 UTC

Even using the green mode that slows down the printer, didn't fix the startup draw.

2021-01-27 00:26:56 UTC

In my new apartment I have my laser printer hooked up to the same circuit as my toaster oven in the kitchen with a long extinction cord. Those two devices are the only thing on the kitchen circuit so I know as long as I only use one at a time I'll be good.

2021-01-27 00:29:07 UTC

even my main circuit in my room gets fairly loaded, since i got 5 monitors, 400-450W pc, AV Receiver thats practically a space heater, and a few of ineffecient laptops on it running as servers

2021-01-27 00:29:47 UTC

along with a dozen miscellanious power bricks

2021-01-27 00:31:38 UTC

but i dont mind the power draw because it gets cold here and theres no gas hookup, so its all electric heat anyways

2021-01-27 00:32:55 UTC

Any chance all that equipment will be used for decentralized communication when they kick us all off the internet?

2021-01-27 00:33:19 UTC

lol if u have a few ham radios or cb radios lying around sure

2021-01-27 00:33:34 UTC

try conditioning the lcd

2021-01-27 00:33:58 UTC

well i got somewhat of a decentralized network in my house with a bridged wifi connection because i couldnt be assed to run cat6 under the crawl space, so i just flashed advanced tomato on a router i got for 4 dollars at a thrift store

2021-01-27 00:34:15 UTC

nice

2021-01-27 00:35:12 UTC

but if we're talking miles + range of decentralized i'd probabbly have to find an old satelite dish and use that to direct the wifi signal to another dish, theres a few videos abgout doing it online

2021-01-27 00:35:37 UTC

yeah and that equipment can be abit expensive

2021-01-27 00:36:01 UTC

How about piggybacking off the starlink network?

2021-01-27 00:36:08 UTC

yep unless you dumpster dive old dishes, then its free <:KEK:795742276549607456>

2021-01-27 00:36:39 UTC

im 100% starlink has encryption, you can't just "piggyback" off it for free

2021-01-27 00:37:00 UTC

unless you consider a big tech company like Tesla to be decentralzied

2021-01-27 00:37:30 UTC

they are a lot better than other big tech for sure, but only time will tell if that lasts

2021-01-27 00:39:30 UTC

for real hopefully something good will come out of this

2021-01-27 00:40:05 UTC

out of starlink?

2021-01-27 00:40:14 UTC

i hope it makes satelite ISPs stop being asses

If there are any people graduating with (or already have) a PhD in Computer Science who are interested in becoming a professor at a university, please contact me.

I been interviewing a bunch of software engineers past few weeks for a position on our team
