Lol yes

2018-10-11 19:32:40 UTC

Anatomy over quality. Great idea

2018-10-11 19:50:09 UTC

Wow I'm glad I closed most positions on Tuesday, what a cliff

2018-10-12 00:20:54 UTC

Are there even any forex accounts that let you trade pretty obscure currency pairs

2018-10-12 00:21:01 UTC

Like Vietnamese dong, etc

2018-10-12 00:22:31 UTC

Also if you were considering buying any Chinese equities now wouldn’t be the worst time, don’t expect to hold them forever though. They knocked their reserved requirements recently (signaling that they want the money supply to expand obviously.) That coupled with the pretty low prices rn because of the tariff thing could be interesting in the mid-future range

2018-10-12 00:22:56 UTC

Also Sears is pretty much kill as of today

2018-10-12 00:24:08 UTC

Debt holders are trying to force it into bankruptcy, I heard. I guess the settlement they’d get now is probably more than they’d get if they waited for the inevitable implosion?

2018-10-12 00:25:55 UTC

> short Sears
> value goes to zero
> you now have infinity dollars

2018-10-12 00:27:43 UTC

>Short sears
>company doesn’t exist at end of period
>no one to give sears shares back to because no shares
>I am sears now

2018-10-12 00:27:59 UTC

lmao you can still buy Blockbuster stock

2018-10-12 00:29:10 UTC

>register IE hedge fund
>identitarian value investing and massive hoarding of obscure haypenny stocks

2018-10-12 00:30:45 UTC

now this is what real white men invest in

2018-10-12 00:31:19 UTC

>beta

2018-10-12 00:31:23 UTC

>-17

2018-10-12 00:31:30 UTC

Lmfao wtf

2018-10-12 00:32:35 UTC

you can buy the entire company for $67,695.20

2018-10-12 00:34:57 UTC

They haven’t posted a balance sheet or anything since 2011

2018-10-12 00:35:19 UTC

If this beta is literally -17 I have found the ultimate hedge

2018-10-12 00:35:41 UTC

By ultimate I mean absolutely haunted

2018-10-12 00:39:42 UTC

$67,695.20 market cap / 800 IE members = $84.62 per member

2018-10-12 00:48:54 UTC

EV would be market cap + debt

2018-10-12 00:49:02 UTC

(And preferred stock but lol)

@Jacob They had lots of Blockbusters in Alaska (Anchorage + suburbs, Juneau and Fairbanks, and towns along the in-betweeh highways) as recent as 2012. I guess they shut down after Alaska finally got high-speed internet.

2018-10-12 00:54:17 UTC

There's still like 5 in Oregon and Texas

2018-10-12 00:55:37 UTC

I read about it a few months ago. Apparently there's only 1 left 😢

2018-10-12 00:56:24 UTC

@Jacob There's a little independent rental place in my small OK town. But it makes most of its money as a furniture rental/sales store. It has always doubled. Strangely!

2018-10-12 00:57:52 UTC

lol some Danish streaming service bought the rights to the "Blockbuster" name

2018-10-12 00:58:19 UTC

> IE buys out Blockbuster
> gets royalties from Danish streaming service

2018-10-12 16:22:58 UTC

This stock has been halted since yesterday, tf?

2018-10-12 16:23:12 UTC

wat mean

2018-10-12 17:03:03 UTC

@Deleted User it means the exchange has halted trading on it until further notice. Halting happens sometimes, usually only lasts a few hours. It's usually when a gigantic spike in volume causes something weird to happen like crashing the company. In the mean time you can't buy or sell and shares

2018-10-12 17:03:56 UTC

No, no I understand halting already

2018-10-12 17:04:10 UTC

just wondering why its been halted this damn long

2018-10-12 17:04:37 UTC

since close yesterday

2018-10-12 17:08:04 UTC

Guess I found my answer, but why does it require being halted? Don't other companies just keep trading while getting something reviewed?

2018-10-12 19:22:33 UTC

@Deleted User yeah that is odd, I thought 99% of trading biotech stocks is to make money during FDA approvals
