@Attrition in the desert Just finished reading it, nice presentation of a lot of different points of views on politics in the world.

One thing I found interesting was how Publius would be skeptical of Silanius (since Silanius is populares) and doesn't seem to know the difference between Silanius and Cato, although the IE audience would surely sympatize with Silanius.

Another point, I don't know if IE members would all fit into one of these roles, but probably either Publius or Decimus or both, though we want to become Silanius.

Also interesting how I see an axis of Silanius-Publius-Decimus as on the same side, but that's my interpretation and I wonder if there are other axes people could come up with.

@ThisIsChris Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I tried to highlight that a lot of the issues we face today, the Roman republic faced as well. Especially the quasi-class struggle framed by external strife and expansion.

@Attrition in the desert yeah in each class there seems to be a "faith of current system" vs "skepticism of current system". In the upper and middle classes I strongly sympathize with the "skepticism of the system" side, but in the lower class I am probably more sympathetic with the "going along with current system" side, since I think his action is more rational given the (lack of) power he has

@ThisIsChris I think we can learn a lot from class stratification, in that, it's mostly a façade, structured to play us off one another by the elites, much like they did in Rome. Not to say there isn't a natural aristocracy among men, but that we should be aware, at a societal level, of trends in the ever shifting morass of populism.

Here is a short play that I wrote based on Constantine and the war of the four Emperors. (It's not that long)
