You're not gonna fuck up brother. You're gonna help. You'll do great.

2017-09-13 16:25:34 UTC

That video is seriously messed up.

2017-09-13 16:25:49 UTC

I am seething with anger

2017-09-13 16:25:56 UTC

Everyone report it

2017-09-20 21:44:31 UTC

Have we covered primitively fire techniques?

2017-09-20 22:44:59 UTC

Let's do upside down fire

2017-09-20 23:57:48 UTC

My personal favorite is the Dakota fire hole. I really want to try the self feeding fire though

2017-09-20 23:58:24 UTC

@Thomas Morrow rocket stoves?

2017-09-20 23:59:09 UTC

I haven't tried a rocket stove either.

2017-09-20 23:59:17 UTC

I've heard good things though

2017-09-21 00:01:29 UTC

I haven't tried one either. I would love to hear some feedback from someone who's used one though..

2017-09-21 08:10:42 UTC

I'll dedicate a lesson to them

2017-09-21 08:11:57 UTC

They can be a pain in the ass

2017-09-21 11:46:12 UTC

I really want to get skilled at hand and bow drill techniques of fire making.

2017-09-21 13:34:24 UTC

@The Huwhyte Ulf - VA#6897 we should get together and practice

2017-09-21 13:34:33 UTC
2017-09-21 20:53:38 UTC

I would have to agree. Just getting settled in with a new job so I'm waiting to see what my schedule will be.

2017-09-22 04:15:53 UTC

Watch "How to make emergency survival biscuits (Hardtack)" on YouTube
https://youtu.be/vDW1uXc3vKA

2017-09-22 04:16:14 UTC

Guys fuck MREs and fancy stuff. Take the hard tack pill

2017-09-22 04:17:34 UTC

Also just fwi this guy left out salt, you need the salt

2017-09-22 04:20:09 UTC

Actually that video sucks. You're suppose to bake hard tack for hours.

2017-09-22 04:20:19 UTC

Watch "Ship's Bisket - Hard Tack: 18th Century Breads, Part 1. S2E12" on YouTube

2017-09-22 04:20:23 UTC

Better version

2017-09-22 04:20:42 UTC

Though his are kind if thick compared to the civil war stuff

2017-09-28 21:27:36 UTC

I have some hard tack I made around three years ago that is still good

2017-10-02 12:14:08 UTC

Well, based on some of the footage so far, what is some stuff you guys have gathered from the shooting, and what would you have done differently in the crowd? I'd bet money that guy was using a bumpfire stock from the sounds of it, might want to buy one now before they're illegal.

2017-10-02 12:29:46 UTC

I'm no expert but I have seen guys that claim the fire was too rapid and to consistent to be a bump fire stock. What do you think?

2017-10-02 13:23:23 UTC

https://youtu.be/LuAeZpLCJ_E just depends on practice really.

2017-10-02 13:27:27 UTC

You can get a full auto ak, but it's about 15-20k$ or buying full auto parts, which puts you on watch usually. Basically if you buy full auto/sbr/sbs/DD parts, and own the corresponding gun, they arrest you for intent.

2017-10-02 13:28:57 UTC

Not to mention if he was stationary (in a hotel room) using a bipod, it's even easier to do sustained fire.

2017-10-02 20:30:30 UTC

Anybody here in the Midwest? I would like to establish a survival retreat and confidence building courses.

2017-10-02 20:52:08 UTC

@jaybird1 Yes, Im in north dakota, sounds like a great idea! What would the class curriculum look like? Basic bushcraft I can make an educated guess but im more interested in what you have in mind for the confidence building?

2017-10-02 21:01:28 UTC

@Brandon Ironside- ND My first question is, how many acres do you have available? I'm thinking a 3 acre obstacle course, like basic was. Second, long range (300 yards) firing range. Third, 10 acres for foraging, shelter building, primitive fire and medicinal plants identity. The course would be 3 weeks...

2017-10-02 21:02:21 UTC

I have acess to 1200 acres of farm land(though not all one piece) the main piece that is ideal would be about 300 acres, If we did somehting like this it would have to be during the winter when there isnt farmers out and about. I also have some 3 12" steel gongs that could be used for long range shooting.

2017-10-02 21:02:53 UTC

I dont think I could get 3 weeks off, I think cramming as much as possible into a weekened would be ideal.

2017-10-02 21:04:04 UTC

And I dont have land we could permantly alter for an obstacle course, doing bushcraft stuff, and long range shooting is all i could handle there.

2017-10-02 21:07:11 UTC

Wow, 300 acres would be plenty. If we cant alter the terrain then we would focus on strength training and running. Your land would be perfect. I'm thinking 30 push ups in less than 2 mins, run 2 miles in less than 13 mins. After that, we would move onto long range shooting.

2017-10-02 21:08:16 UTC

Honestly, there is no way to condense to a weekend. At a minimum 2 weeks.
