Archery is 08/25-09/23. I have a tag along for my rifle hunt. I’m in Colorado Springs.

I’m not currently set up to process my own animal, outside of steaks I gotta bring it to a butcher.

I also hunt birds. Grouse, ducks, geese, doves, and pheasants. I have a 6 month old pointer that will be ready to hunt this year.

I got two does last season was plenty for me. Me and my buddy have been wanting to do an elk hunt for years.

Nice man. This will be my third year going for elk. No meat yet. I’ve shot deer with my bow. And rifle deer is easy mode.

Y'all get them mule deer out there

Colorado mostly has mule deer. Some white tails that stick to river bottoms.

Do they taste/butcher any different?

They looked small when I saw them out there or at least compared to white tail.

Mule deer are pretty much the same size as the white tails here. I also think they taste just as good as white tails, which I had grown up hunting.

Don't get much meat off them, but it's good eating.

what about city camouflage?

i would imagine none of these would work well in a city

@YourFundamentalTheorum I think in a city you'd be better off trying to blend in with the populace. Camo would stick out. If you had to disappear and drop your gear wrist case scenario I think you'd want to be indistinguishable

look at police uniforms plain black blue or grey is best for cities @YourFundamentalTheorum

unironically a plain black or grey hoodie is best for urban, weather permitting. Looters and/or police may be attracted to anyone tactical or bushy.

My fav city camo is "grey man" like the guys above say, blend in.
