lmao holy shit

2018-10-12 14:06:31 UTC

@Rogue @Nick-NJ how influential are FLEs?

2018-10-12 16:38:26 UTC

@John O - Never heard of FLE until now, lol

2018-10-12 16:47:22 UTC

It's pronounced Flea, it's a fraternity inside the IBEW that slows things down @Rogue

2018-10-12 17:15:31 UTC

They mostly are travelers. Because of that, they're a great source of knowledge about other halls

2018-10-12 20:16:26 UTC

For real, though. I thought FLEs were some kind of big thing

2018-10-12 22:56:53 UTC

Never heard of 'em

2018-10-12 22:57:10 UTC

I'm taking classes through the union, too. We had a history section. Don't remember anything about FLEs. haha

2018-10-13 01:01:45 UTC

Apparently it was formed right after Miller died

2018-10-14 18:07:42 UTC

@John O - I've heard stories but haven't witnessed any as of yet

2018-11-09 23:55:04 UTC

Should I be concerned with a buzzing noise from my fuse box? It's fairly audible from couple feet away. I just noticed it incidentally.

2018-11-09 23:56:45 UTC

It's only a buzzing sound and eventually, it is not detectible if I walk far enough away.

2018-11-10 03:12:26 UTC

Actual fuses or breakers?

2018-11-10 03:12:32 UTC
2018-11-15 02:00:24 UTC

@John O - My elderly, White father-in-law stopped by and took a look. He said it was just the transformer making noise, which was normal and nothing to worry about.

2018-11-15 02:01:50 UTC

@Rick uhhhhhhhh

2018-11-15 02:02:09 UTC

Transformers are outside the house

2018-11-15 02:04:38 UTC

He may have misnamed it or I might be misspeaking, but he is pretty good as far as DIY handymen go and advised me not to worry.

2018-11-15 02:04:44 UTC

Thanks, though!

2019-01-04 18:15:33 UTC

Can anyone give advice on cleaning refrigerator condenser coils?

2019-01-04 21:19:42 UTC

<@&435155897363202058> ^^

2019-01-04 21:37:12 UTC

Not much to it really, I do my garage/beer fridge once a year if I remember, I usually just unplug it, slide it away from the wall, and go over it with the shop vac brush attachment. Don’t go crazy and bend the coil or cooling fins, other than that it’s pretty straightforward tbh.

2019-01-06 04:06:45 UTC

@apronandlace If you are really worried about it, and have the capability to do a wet clean, you could try WEB Condenser Coil Cleaner (sold at Home Depot, etc.). You spray it on, it foams up, you rinse it off. I used some on my truck's condenser and it worked OK. They claim it's safe for pets and biodegradeable, but you would want to unplug the appliance, have plenty of fresh air moving thru, and wear gloves and eye protection.

2019-01-06 04:07:41 UTC

And avoid painted surfaces

2019-01-06 04:19:57 UTC

thanks. i think it went well. I got a fridge coil brush and unplugged the fridge was gentle and did get a lot of dog hair out of there from the previous homeowner's dog.

2019-01-06 04:27:28 UTC

What was the fridge doing that made you look at the coil?

2019-01-06 16:47:53 UTC

just read that you're supposed to clean the condenser coils every six months to keep the fridge working well
