old craftsman tools are the tits
ive only had good experiences with dewalt, but am open to trying a new brand
Milwaukee tools all day everyday! I stand by Milwaukee, my only choice. Hand tools and power
Milwaukee lineman pliers stomp the shit out of Kline tools. Buy them for life and they are cheaper in price by about 20 bucks
Hammers Eastwing straight claw. Tack hammers Eastwing as well.
fuck its nice talkin about tools when youre surrounded by liberal cucks and fags
Never had a problem with Ridgid. But pros in HVAC have always sworn by DeWalt
both of my grandpas' tools still hold up better than anything new
@Goose Jewish tool cucking
lol wut?
@Goose same here I work for a 67 year old who has 40+ year old tools of his own, and he also has tools we use that his dad used.
@RevStench dude thats awesome!
old drill sets fetch a pretty penny at auctions nowadays
We do historic preservation so it makes sense we still use old tools.
I worked around an electrician who used an old wooden tool box, it was sweet.
Old hand planes are 100 times better than the "best" one made these days. New ones are cheesy and cheap feeling.
Eastwing makes the best hammers
@RevStench nice thats what i grew up doing in NOLA
Bro, I bought them only a few years ago
Commercial electrical
Oh ok. I noticed some of the stuff you're around and was curious.
Actually I watched some guys lay underground power lines and I was like I wonder if that's the kind of work Johno does.
Nope
I would like to suggest a tape measure, if you don't already have a preference.
Milwaukee so sweet. I dropped this one 3 stories on to pavement and it didn't screw it up, I had the tape locked about 48in out. One of the magnets broke out but no big deal.
You can read it from both sides and it has an architectural scale on it.
Very nice tape.
We need a rating system
While I'm at it๐ , anyone use impact guns everyday? I broke my Milwaukee a few months ago so I've been using my hammer/clutch drill for everything. It's to much work haha.
The cheapest tool only Milwaukee I can buy is like $125 on ebay. A brand new DeWalt is $99 everyday at Lowe's with I believe 2 batteries. Anyone use the shit out of one of the 20volt DeWalts? Impact.
I do
Had it for 5 years, never a problem
Actually, I dropped it from 4 stories last year. I encountered a small problem
Right on. I dropped a Makita from just above 3 stories it survived, but it didn't have the power my Milwaukee had.
Pretty good battery life? And do the batteries charge pretty quick, like a half hour or so? I appreciate it.
Yeah, the 3ah battery lasts for 2 days for me. Our work load is probably different, though. I'd say it would last 3/4 of a day doing carpentry. Batteries charge in an hour
Sorry, 4 ah
That's still good. I drive a lot of screws but only for a few hours, probably 3ish. I use a lot of nail guns. I got around a day out of mine, depending on how much it was used.
Cool, thanks bro. I think I'm going to diversify my tools haha.
