DeWalt
Milwaukee
Porter Cable
Bosch
Are some decent power hand tools. Whether they last kinda depends on what tool it is. I’ve had 6 or 7 dewalt drills/screw guns that have burnt up on me but I like their design so I keep buying em.
Stanley and Johnson make decent levels, tapes, speed squares whatever
Ironically enough Skill Saw makes great circular saws. They’re cheap weekend warrior brand but they’ve been doing it so long they make a decent saw. They also make high production commercial saws too
@RevStench What kinda Nd of nail guns you use for finish nailing? I really like my Senco pin nailer for trimming stuff. Super lightweight. I used to use porter cable but moved on
Bosch is top tier
@Deleted User I use semco brad finish gun and a senco and porter cable gun for 16 penny.
Love them both.
@John O - I have one of those heated Bosch jackets, it's amazing. The battery lasts about 6 hours of continual use.
@Deleted User I use Sawnson speed squares and framing squares.
Battery powered circular saws are dangerous in my opinion. They don't have enough power and they kick back a lot. Good way to cut off fingers.
I use a DeWalt battery operated nail gun for brads, it's awesome for finish work.
@RevStench That reminds me of an old comic from the New Yorker with a guy who wrapped himself up in an electric fence for the winter
Yeah Swanson is great. Battery powered circ saws suck
I like worm drives but don’t have one.
My ryobi hammer drill caught on fire while trying to mix concrete with it
Snow and Neally make a great wood axe
@John O - haha that's awesome. But that coat is so nice.
@Deleted User I use a left handed worm drive saw, it's heavy 😂 my only complaint.
@Deleted User I don't use an ax a whole lot, but what makes those axes so good? Like why those over the competition?
Sturdy, sharpens easily, light for its strength, USA made, pretty affordable
Oh cool. Thanks for the info man. I've never thought about what makes an ax one worth having.
Ok not trying to show off here but I got myself a really nice watch I’ll hopefully have for life then leave it to my son
@Deleted User How much was it? What materials is it made from?
Steel not platinum 😀
Let’s just say I could have bought a used car
So $300?
Haha
Nice looking watch
I’m probably about 20 years older than most people on this server
@Deleted User Thanks
Omegas are incredible watches that last forever and not as finicky as a Rolex or some of the other luxury brands
Just not sure how much of that money went to schlomo
I was thinking of getting a good watch
I want to get some nice jewelry
Better to save my money, though, I have big plans and need every penny for it
God, I'm such a miserly ass
@Deleted User that's nice.
@John O -#7072 you know what they say only people cheaper than joos are WN.
I wanted a nice watch for a decade or so and finally busted my ass enough to justify it.
Another built for life: Alden Indy boots
Those look great. Have you ever had them resoled?
