You can mute the channels you don't want giving you notifications

2017-07-30 22:18:05 UTC

^this

2017-07-30 22:18:15 UTC

Just mute the @ everyone command.

2017-07-30 22:22:11 UTC

New post up, not as many photos with some bad MS paint thrown in but it should get to the point!

2017-07-30 22:25:22 UTC

Ok

2017-07-30 22:28:30 UTC

Will clear this up later

2017-07-30 22:40:04 UTC

BTW I haven't seen any everyone notifications in this server. Am I missing something?

2017-07-31 01:45:50 UTC

@Deleted User you may already know this but if you don't want a tag every time someone writes something in the server, you can tweak it in your notification settings

2017-07-31 01:46:57 UTC

I think you can personally mute any channels you don't want, though ideally guys would be checking in on all servers to learn things.

We should have a safety thread.

2017-08-01 11:38:30 UTC

I told him to rub some dirt on it and let's get back to work.

2017-08-01 11:39:09 UTC

It's going to be a wonderful day...

2017-08-01 13:41:55 UTC

Ooh, yeah, looks like he may have gotten some tendons?

2017-08-01 13:46:08 UTC

Oosh. What happened?

2017-08-01 14:03:13 UTC

Fuck dude!!!

2017-08-01 14:05:51 UTC

Only a flesh wound..

2017-08-01 14:05:58 UTC

Delicious

2017-08-01 14:06:03 UTC

I mean... ouch

2017-08-01 14:09:57 UTC

@Deleted User he did, the doc told him to do nothing because there isn't much left to sew up.
From what I understand he was loading a 40ft ladder on his truck this morning and slipped and the ladder smashed his finger into the stop on his ladder rack.
He said it never hurt until after he left the hospital, so you know it was bad.

2017-08-01 14:12:29 UTC

Poor guy wasn't at work yet so workers comp said they aren't going to cover it.

2017-08-01 14:20:19 UTC

That's fucked. Hopefully he has some secondary insurance

2017-08-01 14:40:13 UTC

He does. It's bullshit workers comp won't cover it. He's the second guy I know personally who got hurt loading things for the job at their home that they won't cover.

2017-08-01 14:43:15 UTC

I swear those kikes at those comp companies aim to not give out money

2017-08-01 14:45:29 UTC

My girlfriend messed her wrist up at work recently and they wouldn't give her a dime. Had the doctor's notes and everything documented and they claimed she didn't.

She was quitting there anyways and it happened on her last week so she didn't fight it.

2017-08-01 15:07:39 UTC

Yeah they're a joke. Hope your girl's ok. Wrist damage could be potentially bad, like as far as long term problems.

2017-08-01 18:20:11 UTC

At least he's alive. I've seen people die at work

2017-08-01 18:21:03 UTC

Everything from arcs, people falling, and scissor lifts falling over

2017-08-01 18:58:20 UTC

I was up in a basket on a fork lift and the driver drove me into a steel beam once, luckily I was wearing a helmet

2017-08-01 18:58:42 UTC

Still gave me whiplash though

2017-08-01 19:04:13 UTC

Damn

2017-08-01 19:05:16 UTC

One time i had a scissor lift tip and i grabbed a fire protection water pipe and literally kept it from tilting over. I had to wait on some guys to help

2017-08-01 19:06:28 UTC

I was about 20' in the air

2017-08-01 19:06:55 UTC

Word, I was at Toyota Princeton, IN one afternoon and one of the vendors was walking the conveyor where the seats come down to thr line, they were looking up and walking and someone didn't close the hatch where the seats go down and dude fell on to two something like 3foot spikes. Died right there. Hands down the absolutely worst thing I've ever seen in person.

2017-08-01 19:08:55 UTC

@Lebens that sucks. @Thomas Morrow I was driving a man lift at full speed around a house and hit a bump it was like a slingshot, threw me in the air, I had my harness on that day, lucky haha

2017-08-01 19:09:50 UTC

Construction sites and factories are hazardous

2017-08-01 19:11:01 UTC

@RevStench i refuse to move a scissor lift horizontally unless its fully lowered first, after that fire pipe save the company at the time i was working for when i wagecucked made it a rule that scissor lifts were not allowed to drive while lifted at all

2017-08-01 19:12:33 UTC

Idgaf if it takes longer im going home to my kids after work

2017-08-01 19:14:00 UTC

Haha for sure. I'm the same way these days. I don't take extra risks unless there is no other option. I don't even get on scaffolding without a harness anymore either

2017-08-01 19:15:42 UTC

If i sell a contract that requires scaffolding i charge so much i just pay someone to climb it. I don't mess with that
