Sweet deal bro @ThisIsChris thanks

2017-12-13 17:14:28 UTC

@RevStench yw, yeah this suggestion has come up before too so I figured it's time

2017-12-13 17:59:53 UTC

Let's get a "buy it for life" channel! I have make life easy tools I NEED to share 😂

2017-12-13 18:53:44 UTC

Nice!

2017-12-13 19:35:38 UTC

@RevStench like Carpentry tools?

2017-12-13 19:46:59 UTC

Like stuff in general. Like the buy it for life on reddit. @ThisIsChris

2017-12-13 19:48:02 UTC

Like I need a solid beard trimmer, or a nice blanket for camping in the winter, or a recommendation for a nice pen.

2017-12-13 19:48:28 UTC

Something like that.

2017-12-13 22:43:31 UTC

@RevStench beard trimmer? But we already have a gardening channel!

2017-12-13 22:43:52 UTC

Yeah I am out now but will set something up when I get back

2017-12-13 22:44:01 UTC

For buy it for life

2017-12-13 22:58:51 UTC

Haha ass, it was just an example😂

2017-12-14 05:23:47 UTC

The Wirecutter website has been really solid for me for buying even the smallest things (nail clippers). It might be pozzed now since getting bought out by The New York Times, but still handy.

2017-12-14 06:30:52 UTC

@RevStench @Argument of Perigee OK it's up, check out <#390735997639589891>

2017-12-14 06:40:17 UTC

@ThisIsChris when will we have an onion emote?

2017-12-14 06:42:31 UTC

<:ScreenShot20171214at1:390755300115873792> @Deleted User thoughts?

Product: "What do you MEME!" This product on Amazon must have made a million just based on the review count. Only maybe 5% of purchasers leave a review. Just an FYI for those wanting to work from home.

OMG... and the other one on Amazon: "Cards Against Humanity" 37000 reviews. Anyway, something to think about for those wanting to work from home. Riding the way of internet/meme culture can be a way to earn income.

I guess this really can't go under electrical, it's more of general tool use. This instruction will teach you how to use a torque wrench, one of the most essential tools for any task involving nuts and bolts.

2017-12-17 20:42:31 UTC

This is a torque wrench

2017-12-17 20:43:20 UTC

DASKGS400 is the catalogue number that identifies the kit where I got the bolts

2017-12-17 20:43:34 UTC

2017-12-17 20:44:21 UTC

Inside DASKGS400 is DA-600-S lug kits

2017-12-17 20:45:22 UTC

This is 500 kcmil wire. It is 500k circular millimeters in diameter, hence the name

2017-12-17 20:45:30 UTC

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/322711183503130635/392054725798789140/IMG_20171217_130704821.jpg

2017-12-17 20:46:52 UTC

As you can see from the chart, under the DA-600-S lug, 500kcmil has to be torqued to 550 inch pounds

2017-12-17 20:47:34 UTC

Since I only have a foot pound torque wrench, I need to divide 550 by 12 (12 inches in a foot)

2017-12-17 20:48:34 UTC

I'll round it up to 46

2017-12-17 20:48:55 UTC

2017-12-17 20:49:28 UTC

Pull back and twist the handle until you get to 46 foot pounds

2017-12-17 20:50:26 UTC

Unfortunately Discord won't let me post the short video I took, but you need to wrench until you feel the head "break" or hear a click

2017-12-17 20:50:56 UTC

It's very important to set your tool back to 0 after each use to maintain accuracy

2017-12-17 21:04:07 UTC

Thanks @John O -#7072 I have that same style torque wrench; its a little less intuitive than the older ones
