I have to wear pants and steel toes as well as high visibility shirts. Some sites also require hard hats. In my opinion I never work in shorts don’t believe shorts make a huge difference temperature wise.
I think it depends on where you are. I wear shorts all summer. I'd heat stroke walking into work if I didn't. Alabama Summers are like a damp oven.
Nah mang, Central Florida here. Mandatory pants, mandatory hardhat, mandatory steel toes. I usually wear long sleeve shirts when I work outside

Yeah hot. But jeans all year long. I wear these Lee Khaki jean like pants on really hot days. They breath, but I don't have a uniform, but jeans and pocket T's. But it comes down to safety, my boots have a metal plate in the sole, I don't want a 100 year old nail, well any nail to go in my leg or foot, or get cut by something on the leg.
I think @John O - probably has it the worst, daily rain turns FL into a sauna. And those Brits in that article are crying over 80°. 😁

Anyone here heard of asktrim.com? It’s apparently an AI bot that will negotiate down your internet bill (among other things) for a cut of your savings. I just set it up and it appears like it will save me about $14/mo.
I can’t help but feel like Comcast and AskTrim are conspiring to raise the rates behind the scenes, though.
Not to mention it requires connecting your bank account and a credit card.
@NuclearReactionary You're better off calling up and threatening to jump ship. I don't think they're colluding for this reason.
A lot of the people who answer your questions online regarding billing and lowering the price on your account are based in the Philippines and Indian, so they stick to a script. If you know what buttons to press, they will respond in predictable ways, meaning AI is perfect. If they lost you as a customer, it hurts their KPIS, so it is in their best interest to offer a reduced rate.
Any of y'all do any bushcraft or woodsman stuff? Thinking about that as a channel as I cook my dinner over a fire 😉
