I put spar varnish on a tree root yesterday. Doing Boomer shit feels good
Haha very nice
I didn't think a varnished tree root would look nice as it does. Good job.
Thanks, homie. I'm going to put a few more coats on later

Tendies
Man, deep fry those those guys for some nice chicken nuggets!
Which channel is most relevant to welding?
I make skateboards, but the floor manager of the company I share shop space with has offered to teach me to weld.
Feel like welding could open up more opportunities for me as the skateboarding industry is terrible and mostly employs people who plan on dying young and childless.
@DairyMaxx probably machining or mechanics.

Does anyone here know anything about software patent law?
I have an application that I've been working on in my free time for debian server management. I want to have it patented under my personal name and be able to distribute it in an open, initially free, manner and then later monetize it once its gone through most of its growing pains.
and if I release publicly before I have it patented or white its patent pending will that inhibit my ability to patent it?
Ayo we need a channel in the #lifeskills channel for dealing with in laws
srs.
Lol aint that the truth!
@BryceB-ND mine aren’t to bad but the rest of my wife’s family are something else.
Need an invite for a member @here

We got anyone in here who knows anything about blacksmithing or horses?
I think @hedlikahol might
I know a bit about horses
I think @Felden - CO and @nils might know a bit about smithing as well
I’m a machinist. Never done smith type work.
I'm learning blacksmithing and I'm getting pretty good, but I'd like someone to bounce ideas and troubleshoot with
Specifically, I'm learning Farriery
Same as Felden - Machining, not a smith.
Once I get a better, perhaps I could take up as the Practical Skills server's resident blacksmith?
How much experience does one need in order to do that?
Get good first😂
🤔 trust me I'm trying
