haven't tried it but I like pate and foie gras which is made from it
well goie is goose
that's been force fed
banned in some places
I've had horse also (bad french family influence)
I've never trusted the French man's food...
Horse is a minor pagan influence
but
as far as health is concerned
it is 100% normal for consumption.
The taboo surrounding it is the same taboo that surrounds pagan rite.
horse is fine, the problem is it has very little fat
From the little exposure I've had to it, french food is pretty good
so it's hard to cook
Part of me would be sad eating horse
cows and chickens and pigs are cute too
I know, but it's this weird thing with horses
It'd be like eating dog or cat
horses are grazing animals
we eat most other grazing animals
I have a ahrder time killing mammals than I do poultry.
I mean, it's more reasonable with horses since they're killed for other reasons anyways
Chickens got that dead look in their eye.
Like a dumbass robot.
might as well cook them
Horses kind of scare me actually, I don't find them cute
I've never ridden one, but there I've always admired them
I like horses, fun to ride em, some of my family have some.. but they are also protein
Like fish, I've zero problem gutting and scaling a fish.
Or skinning them, in the case of some bottom feeders.
rabbit I have a hard time with
I'm kind of small so standing next to them, they're usually a lot bigger than me. I'm scared they're gonna trample me lol
Horses can be docile animals so long as you know what you're doing with one.
I can see that being scary
I've seen someone get thrown off by one before it's scary
^ Yep, me too
At a jockey competition I saw this girl got thrown off after a jump and it scared me bad
Anyone ever been to the horse races?
but riding a horse is amazing, you begin to understand the feeling of animal husbandry.. and you understand the history of how we used horses as war animals
