The tree is not, it's a motif from old Germanic heraldry. I may have the change it the make it "unique"

The district that has used it historically had a lot in common with the communities we are planning

There's a lot of other pine tree designs we could use, any of them stand out?

I like the ones from the latter picture. It should be rather simple, not too simple.

I would actually say pick one of the three-tiered ones, because three has a lot of interesting symbolic stuff

Besides the deal with three governing areas, three stages of life, three domains, triple gods, mind/body/soul, begining/middle/end, and the like, the triangle is also the stablest shape, and the first possible 2-D image. I vote for a three tiered tree.
