Sandpoint has 8000 residents, and an older population than Coeur D'Alene
I have 4 kids, one of the big things for me is to find a place where there are other young families
ive looked around Coeur D'Alene before, it looks like its mostly mountains, is there enough arable land there?
Yes, there's enough to work with for personal gardening
as far as large scale farming I'm not so sure
check this map out: http://sil.uc.edu/webapps/socscape_usa/
also that area looks like it is full of sparse suburbs or cottages
it's got population and demographic stats mapped for the years 1990, 2000, and 2010, to give you an idea of where the white population is growing
wow that map is awesome!
yeah it's really useful
Ive also considered Potlatch ID
land is really cheap
Potlatch is really, really low in population
and it might be too small for our people to find good work
that would be a good target if we wanted to take over completely
pop is 804, i dont expect anything near that many people to be with us
but if enough of our guys move out there and we get active politically, then yeah it could happen
but, again, the economic factor is limiting
so it's just something to think about
I think it would work best if we chose a decently sized city, and moved there or the surrounding lands
well being in a decent sized city pretty much defeats the purpose
its true
I think there are places that strike a good balance
and my hope is that most people will be somewhat self-sufficient
Maybe we can pick a specific small town next to one of these cities
like maybe a half hour or so away
so people could still commute if they want to
something like that
well potlatch is about 15 mils from Moscow ID
```Race in Athol, Idaho
98.00% of people are white, 0.00% are black, 0.00% are asian, 0.00% are native american, and 0.00% claim 'Other'.```
bingo... found it!
this is our home.
lol
it looks like its entirely sparse suburbs
and it doesnt looks like theres any farming going on there, probably for a good reason
another one we have considered is Mossy Rock WA
or any town in that valley
interesting choice
We gotta think about the economic opportunities if this thing is going to have any legs
