Think of the experience as a rhetorical punching bag, it's great to be in a comfy echo chamber and all but always be prepared to communicate your beliefs and defend them in debate when necessary.

Our ideological enemy is irrational, look how they behave at places like Berkeley and Charlottesville. We have to be smarter than they are. Let the public decide how we stack up.

his arguments were pretty weak though, he didn't have any responses to what I said, I guess it only strengthend my resolve. But I agree, its good to sometimes have people to disagree with.
