Guys howmst do I become Christian

2018-03-28 13:39:56 UTC

i was reading about how puritans believe God sometimes judges them as a collective community, so in order to receive favorable judgement they get rid of the bad elements/people in their society. a more communal basis like that is very powerful

2018-03-28 16:45:05 UTC

It seems to have worked very well, we can see this by the fact that puritans no longer exist

2018-03-28 16:46:19 UTC

In theory it could be resurrected, but it sounds kind of gay

Not sure if you're trolling @Mephisto but text version -> https://www.bible.com/bible/111/JHN.3.16.niv ... but good question for call in show - would love to hear Nick's answer on that

2018-03-28 18:50:29 UTC

Only half-trolling, I know its an incredibly vague question. I've been looking into it for awhile but have basically just been reading / information seeking, I need to go to church or something

2018-03-28 18:59:47 UTC

Sometimes churches help, other times they're filled with too many drones. I'm NO expert by any stretch but I'm pretty sure it's simple as that John 3:16 verse. Though I know this is Nick's house and he's Catholic (I'm Protestant) so he may have different input on the topic.

Hey fellas, this is gonna be a brainlet question, but what stuff should I do to return to the Catholic Church?

2018-03-29 01:33:52 UTC

I haven’t gone to church since early high school and I think that I should embrace my roots and continue the family tradition. But I feel like that I should do more than just going to church.

2018-03-29 01:41:28 UTC

Confession first then start attending mass. You should look up a Catholic examination of conscience to confess all of the mortal sins before recieving communion

2018-03-29 01:41:45 UTC

if you are baptised and confirmed that is all you need

2018-03-29 13:58:48 UTC

Chances are you're going to go for a week then not bother, so just show up

Also check out like 5 jurjes minimum, don't walk into a jurj filled with 56 and never walk into another

What

2018-03-29 17:45:16 UTC

@Georges_Cross Not the guy you were talking to but I'm in a similar situation. I had first communion and baptism but left before I was confirmed, what should I do?

2018-03-29 17:51:10 UTC

@Mephisto I would start with confession as stated before and ask the priest at your church about confirmation but it shouldn't stop you from attending mass and recieving communion. Main thing find a good mass traditional masses are the best.

2018-03-29 17:56:04 UTC

Nice, what are your thoughts on SSPX? @Georges_Cross

2018-03-29 17:58:34 UTC

SSPX I like their videos on protestants but I am not sure that they are currently in full communion with the church it would be better to attend a normal latin mass if that is what you want. When SSSPX is fully reconciled by the pope you can go for it. @Mephisto

2018-03-29 18:03:20 UTC

Alright, thanks!

2018-03-29 18:55:20 UTC

Fellas. Have any of you noticed your thoughts becoming more pure lately? When I daydream about girls now, I dream about meeting her family and asking her father to let me court his daughter.

2018-03-29 18:56:35 UTC

Also I've noticed that praying when I go to bed has kept me from having impure thoughts because I don't want to taint myself after talking with God

2018-03-29 18:56:46 UTC

Life is good my guys

2018-03-29 19:01:06 UTC

@j0hn I think the media is doing a 75 IQ interpretation of what Francis meant. Hell is eternal separation from God. If we exist, we are somewhere in relation to God. If Hell is eternal separation from God, it cannot exist. Hell is the state of nonexistence.

2018-03-29 19:01:17 UTC

At least that's my 100 IQ hot take on it
