When Jesus says, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged", he's saying do not call out others if you have the same problem.
What does it mean to judge? It means to find someone guilty or not. If I judge someone, and they did this thing, and I did not, I'm perfectly justified in doing so.
For instance, I can criticize someone for divorce, for I have never been divorced.
However, as someone with a short temper, I can not call someone out for their wrath without looking like a hypocrite myself.
Like most passages in The Bible, you see people misinterpret this to the point of it losing all meaning, or even meaning the exact opposite of what it's saying.
In the case of Matthew 7, you see people, leftists discussing their hedonistic ways mostly, saying that you just should in every case never "judge".
When in reality, I can judge someone for their hedonistic ways because I do not engage in these hedonistic ways.
This shows you that when you use scripture in your day to day life, you need to be representing it in a fair and positive manner.
