My church is still epic tho
They painted it white but it still looks good
some of the vii aesthetics arent even that bad, but the old aesthetics were chad
I hate seeing people in tracksuits at church
Nigga, focus less on holding mass in minecraft and more on dragging people you know to church
My church is wooden and really small so it doesn't look like either of those in the pictures
Its difficult to evangelize to secular liberals though and most of my family is made up of that
its amazing how little gen x catholics know about the religion too, like my mom was raised catholic and didnt know what the trinity was or that Jesus was God
Which is why we will convert the youth through minecraft
yeah dude we could unironically start a massive trad catholic minecraft server
Then bully them. Ridicule them, do what you need to. Jesus called for us to be fishers of men, he never specified the bait
i havent played minecraft in years but it would be epic
i do do that to a certain extent
We cannot be our brother's keeper if we ignore those closest to us
certain people are just lost though and im not going to cast pearls before swine
What are some good books for understanding catholicism
Well for basics I've been using articles on
fisheaters.com
to teach myself stuff. I have a catechism I've been going through as well.
One good one is "This Is The Faith" by Canon Francis Ripley, its kind of basic but its supposedly a good traditional beginners catechism. Then there's the Catechism of the Council of Trent which is the old one thats supposed to be very good. And of course theres the modern Catechism of the Catholic Church which has current stuff in it.
For Catholic Philosophy and theology there's a lot. Augustine and Aquinas are the big two though. GK Chesterton is pretty good for layman's stuff, I read "The Everlasting Man" by him which is a good apologetics book, but its not so much about the catholic church.
I'm going to try to find a good history book as well.
Then there's this list
Hows lord of the rings catholic
I can't remember the argument for it but there is one I heard someone make awhile ago
Tolkien was devout and it's loosely based on catholic teachings
But I personally wouldn't put it there
Need to get a new bible
All i had is a prod one i got in school
get the douay rheims (trad) or nrsv catholic edition (smooth reading)
I have KJV from my mom who grew up Protestant
I need to get DR at some point
I read the NABRE which is apparently filled with heretical stuff but it was easy so it made for smooth reading
New American?
Ye ill probably go to a catholic shop and see what they have
I got that one in Catholic school with my communion
