I'll be honest I haven't looked into it too much yet (haven't had time) but I think it's mainly optional free trade and optional free travel for certain members, cooperation on infrastructure development, cheaper long term loans and some optional military cooperation on things like piracy, terrorism etc

China and Russia are moving back towards the gold standard so it's likely they'll have that as part of membership past a certain point

It's all still very new, the Russians are mainly pulling in their satellites atm but tbh Germany is a likely candidate in the future for membership given their massive investment in infrastructure with Russia
