moving doesn't mean something is a force, there are types of movement that defies standard types of physics. a 'wormhole' is bent space, yet can let you move very far in a short amount of time

2019-11-13 16:56:45 UTC

to move something takes a force simple

2019-11-13 16:57:10 UTC

no, because you will find the lowest state of energy no matter what, a slide doesn't need a motor

2019-11-13 16:57:26 UTC

try move something ...you will have to put a force in to move it

2019-11-13 16:57:33 UTC

simple

2019-11-13 16:57:54 UTC

something finding it's lowest state of energy isn't 'movement' it's equalization. a ball rolling down a hill isn't 'generating' force, it's equalizing.

2019-11-13 16:58:19 UTC

theres a force rolling it down the hill

2019-11-13 16:58:38 UTC

no shit, there would be constants in an scenario with a 'slide'

2019-11-13 16:58:56 UTC

yes so no force...no movement

2019-11-13 16:58:59 UTC

the HILL is not the force

2019-11-13 16:59:11 UTC

the force moving it DOWN THE HILL is

2019-11-13 16:59:22 UTC

go on

2019-11-13 16:59:26 UTC

....

2019-11-13 16:59:27 UTC

is what

2019-11-13 16:59:34 UTC

whats the force

2019-11-13 16:59:58 UTC

2019-11-13 17:00:13 UTC

without swearing

2019-11-13 17:00:57 UTC

do you conceptually understand the point is that the measurement of force the hill creates is separate from the force that moves the ball down the hill

2019-11-13 17:01:23 UTC

a steeper hill is STILL NOT THE FORCE moving the ball down it

2019-11-13 17:01:33 UTC

yes

2019-11-13 17:01:38 UTC

whats causing it

2019-11-13 17:01:43 UTC

you tell me

2019-11-13 17:01:43 UTC

ok, then THAT is the point scientists are making in your meme

2019-11-13 17:02:11 UTC

It's NOT A FORCE, it's a MEASUREMENT OF HOW STEEP A HILL

2019-11-13 17:02:29 UTC

or the push upon it relative to its surroundings

2019-11-13 17:02:38 UTC

whats gravity bro

2019-11-13 17:02:41 UTC
2019-11-13 17:02:54 UTC

nah, just the hill itself, the push would be a separate calculation

2019-11-13 17:03:04 UTC

so whats gravity

2019-11-13 17:03:22 UTC

gravity is the 'force-like' attraction between two pieces of mass

2019-11-13 17:03:29 UTC

but it's slides, it's not a force.

2019-11-13 17:03:55 UTC

<:uh_duhh:583617741684998154>

2019-11-13 17:03:59 UTC

lol

2019-11-13 17:04:37 UTC

without a force acting upon it, a object moves in a straight line, agreed?

2019-11-13 17:05:08 UTC

according to physics objects dont move without a force acting upon them

2019-11-13 17:05:14 UTC

the caveat to this is obviously that bending spacetime itself dilutes what 'straight' lines are.

2019-11-13 17:06:06 UTC

@Silly Rabbit, Trix Are For Kids those are newtons laws

2019-11-13 17:06:49 UTC

newton is the one that came up with that concept

2019-11-13 17:08:20 UTC

if you want to argue gravity, you should at least understand the argument <a:snap:625501219716333618>

2019-11-13 17:09:52 UTC

somekat's right in that this is GR's explanation of gravity. It can affect and accelerate mass and energy because it affects the geodesics of their worldline.

2019-11-13 17:10:49 UTC

a worldline is no longer straight as it approaches another mass.
