Same, we've always had a dinner similiar to Thanksgiving on Halloween, sometimes before trick-or-treating, and watching monster-house

Halloween was never treated that way with my family

Besides making the decorations to put outside the house

Don't get me wrong, I'm not some pastoral rustic. A little bit of debauchery is part of the fun. It just feels weird to to make the entire evening about drinking with its already treated like a competitive sport during the weekend

And I say "my age" to contrast with the innocent way children get to experience Halloween
